Congratulations!! it's an amazing small truck. I have Hybrid too and I really enjoy driving it. actually we do not have Lariat with hybrid engine in the Canadian market, so I got mine XLT with luxury package and 360 co pilot with is a great add to the car. I actually noticed the car is a bit noisy on low speeds on electric drive not sure if this normal? I compare it with my Fusion hybrid which is super quite.

I love my truck ordered 18 June 2021,got it 3 May 2022. Well worth the wait. Sips the gas, smooth ride,no issues to far, just breaking it in... and learning about hybrids and of course having fun with "accessories"!!

Carbonized gray Lariat hybrid with luxury package and moon roof. Ordered 6/17/21, built 1/3/22 & delivered 3/10/22.

Ordered with Mike Robinson at Ken Wilson Ford in Canton, NC. $500 deposit, no dealer fees, no market adjustment & no nonsense. I was very satisfied with the experience and would gladly order or purchase a vehicle from them again.

Added several Ford accessories after the sale including soft roll up tonneau cover, tailgate liner, bed mat, floor liner tray set & hitch receiver cover cap.

I use the truck a lot with the bed uncovered. The soft cover seems durable and rolls away minimizing rear view obstruction. The truck came with a spray in bed liner which looks like fancy rubber paint. I am not confident in its durability so I added the bed mat and tailgate liner. I haul rocks and boulders and bulk garden and landscaping supplies and need something to really protect the bed. The bed mat is easily removable and easy to clean. I was surprised when floor liners finally became available and ordered a set. The hitch cover which is a Ford part was ordered from Amazon. It makes the hitch area look more finished.

I don’t use any of the FITS attachments, even the ones supplied by Ford. The honeycomb 3D printed cubby inserts available from various makers seem a little primitive. I utilized the cubby area by attaching a phone mount to it. It holds the phone high enough to view easily and still provides access to the cubby. The mount is SCOSCHE magnetic car phone holder mount from Amazon.

I watched Tim Bartz’s (Ford Video Guy) weekly updates and appreciate all the information and advice about ordering, issues with parts, chips, scheduling and delivery logistics. It helped keep my frustration level under control as I otherwise would not have a clue about what was going on. I was not getting milestone updates from Ford and called their marketing department weekly for status. Most of the time the status was there is no status.

I was tempted to change my order to Eco Boost when it looked like hybrids were never going to be built. I hung in there and it was definitely the right decision for us. In an ordinary mix of driving I am getting 40.1 MPG with just over a quarter of that being electric. Outstanding.

I agree on the value of the hybrid and that it was worth the wait. I ordered August 25, mine was built May 11 and delivered June 1. Nine month wait, but it's here now.

Performance and gas mileage are excellent in my opinion and exactly what I had hoped for. I live in a rural area and don't drive in much stop and go city traffic, but using ECO mode I'm getting as high as 51 mpg on paved two lane roads with little traffic. In one city drive involving construction and a lot of stop and go, I got 42 mpg. Exactly on the EPA estimate for city driving.

Figuring out Android Auto and the touch display is nutso. Nothing works quite as expected, and the owner's manual is poorly written and vague.

Nice detailed writeup. About to order a Mav in August thinking of an EcoBoost to get the AWD...guess the choice is gas mileage vs. AWD capability ... Tough choices!
