What does your key look like?

How would this fit a lock lol

@Pickles Push the button on the ribbed area next to the silver part with the hole for like a key ring and a backup key slides out if say like the buttons stopped working, battery dead, etc. What slides out is a key like for XL/XLT that you see pics of in this thread. See Post #2 for a visual.

Now take a look at my key ring:

You most likely will not find a key except at a dealer, I got 2 with my XLT & inquired at purchase time about a 3rd, was quoted $216, I passed on it, I got 2 with my 04 Taurus & in 18 years did not lose one.

I noticed this website you can get New/Used keys for the Maverick, etc. It does state: " MUST be Programmed and Cut by a Professional Automotive Locksmith " but still would probably be alot less than the dealer charge.

I'm guessing you've never had a vehicle with a smart key before. There is a button to release the key from the fob.
