The shield at Costco pumps is actually different from other gas station pumps, and even with the boot pulled up it constantly clicks off.
And new gas cans are worse since they have inserts that prevent the nozzle insertion.

Costco pump handle is not good for filling up gas cans.
First time it took me a minute to figure out that you have to pull up on the rubber shield thingy to get the gas going, and keep it pulled up, but it's not easy and very slow to fill.
I just fill up the gas cans at Sheets since then.
Just got done with this install as outlined by the OP.
One thing that I noticed is the triangle trim attached to the door panel comes off with the panel.
When attaching it back, noticed the top flat tab looks ripped out of its slot and goes back in loosely.
It does not look like it can be...

I have some strong magnets pulled out of old hard drives I could stick under the pan next to the drain plug, should attract metal bits inside the pan.
Then remove the magnets just before draining oil, hopefully flushing out the metal bits.
It will be a while for...
It's a 2013 Mullet conversion with DVO Diamond fork/carbon 27.5 front wheel, good for a few more years then the frame will hang on the wall in my man cave.
