No in bed trunk. They certainly could have added it to the FWD model....
I think that’s where the spare tire sits.

Front Parking Sensors are not in the package!

I have gotten sooooo used to the front parking sensors when parking my vehicles against the garage door. I will need to go back to driving forward, getting out and checking distance, pull forward some more, get out...and finally stop iterating when it is close enough. Maybe I could just back in instead.

I know, first world problems but my Fusion and Ranger have spoiled me!
Wheel stop(s) . Once parked, mark where your wheels are. Place the wheel stops, never worry about it again.

The thing I least like about the Maverick is its made by Ford... Would prefer a small Toyota fuel efficient truck. But no way a Hybrid Toyota truck would have come in at 23k for a mid level trim. As long as this Ford holds up, the paint does not chip away in a few years and I can get 8-10 years of reliable driving, I'm happy. Its going to stay in my garage for 2/3 of its life anyways, so hopefully that helps.
I was afraid I’d be the only one that felt this way. My last two trucks were a Ridgeline and then a Tundra Been more then happy with them. A coworker has a F-150 platinum and I feel like that thing is in the shop every other week

No split rear bench for the underseat storage. For those of us with car seats it’s pretty useless. Particularly with the hybrid where the storage is only on one side.

No Select Shift on the 8 speed automatic. Switched to the Hybrid because of it.

Weak exterior color options, mostly hideous interior color options (either acid washed jeans or X-Men leather), can't get premium sound system without luxury package, mediocre wheel options.

I also think Ford seriously overestimates the prevalence of 3D printing among average Americans. Quite honestly, I have no interest in making things myself to install in a $20k-$30k vehicle. I actually think 3D printing could have incredible use in the future - imagine file sharing networks where you can download specs for plumbing parts or that missing battery cover on your TV remote. But right now I think most people are satisfied with Prime Delivery when it comes to accessories. I also think Ford is way overthinking the large water bottle compartment. I'd so much rather have the usual cupholders which could adjust to the size container I'm carrying. If I'm driving, I don't want to reach down in to the door for a beverage. Hearing such an emphasis on this water bottle compartment in the door in all the early videos and interviews got obnoxious real fast.

Having said all that, I still can't wait for my Lariat and I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this truck. I'd say my main dislike is having to wait for it!

I wanted the Lariat trim for all of the fixins that come with it...same reason I added the luxury package....however; the interior colors are hideous. I will learn to deal with it but I would have MUCH rather had options for the colors and fabrics on the interiors.

My other issue, and this is minor in the grand scheme of things, is that it is a Ford. Grew up in a GM family (grew up near Detroit - everybody in our family was involved in the automotive industry in some way) and getting one of these feels like I'm being a traitor. That being said, though, I was also considering a Toyota Rav4 Hybrid before this as well...

You get a choice of blue interior or blue interior. Blue interiors always look dirty and scream 70’s to me. Oh well, maybe It will grow on me.

We are an Army family, Mom’s 2nd husband, USMC DI (Korean era). One of the best men I have personally ever known. I know the feeling. He was also from OK, I grew up in TX. You can imagine how TX/OU weekend went.

I like every angle of this vehicle expect looking at it from the ass-end. Kinda frumpy.
yes I know it’s a truck and the utility far outweighs this little niggle.
But you asked.

It is not even scheduled to be released till mid September and it is 100 days backlogged, that’s it. If it t was in production, shipping, and was for sale in lots, your worries would have a degree of substance. Right now it is just sounding entitled.
