I’m not sure if Ed posted it on here but ere’s the post on Reddit about the recent offer. There are multiple threads on MTC about the first go around too.

About how much under MSRP is invoice (percentage wise)? Trying to judge what this means savings vs my effort to get it.

What to expect is a very long wait ! up to a year, I hope you have a good vehicle for now.
I have a eco loaded XLT maverick waited 8 months, have it now going on 2 months about 1300 miles and love it, BUT wanted a hybrid with lux had concerns about first year model mostly transmission don't anymore am going to order one don't think I will loose any money on the truck I have now its loaded up with every option and will likely have about 10k in miles when the hybrid comes in. With the constraints expect a year wait with hybrid lux package. As for dealer advise listen to the guys in this post there are some real Loosers out there and once you do place your order make sure you get that email from ford that your order was placed, I got mine leaving the dealers parking lot that's how fast they placed the order, I had aa exceptional dealer.

Best to send them your build and they will show you the pricing.

About 2-4% depending on number of options. Options have more markup (7%) over invoice than trim level (2%) so an XLT/Lariat loaded out with luxury package etc. has more potential to save than a hybrid XL.

First time poster here but Ive read a lot of post on this place all good stuff.

I plan on going up to my local dealer and placing an order the 2nd (hopefully lariet 4k awd lux) if the prices don't jump a ton.

But what can i expect when i go?

Thanks. So I could be 6%+- below MSRP with this. If it builds at 37k, I'm looking at 2-2.5k+-.

Real money, but I'll eat most if not all that up getting it to Texas. I'd need something 10 or so hours from Houston to make this pay off I think.

Appreciate the help.

Lots of good information already. One thing to watch out for is that some dealerships will say that they sell at MSRP but then add a large doc fee or required useless expensive options so be get those in writing too. Even Long McAuthor in Kansas that you hear so much about has a $500 doc fee.

The dealer you mentioned sounds clueless. People have had problems with clueless dealers not entering their order right then finding out six months later that they did not even have a completed order since the sales person had missed step.

If you have other dealerships near you then you should check them out. I am going with a dealer who has a doc fee that is $200 higher than the lowest local dealer just because the sales person I am working with is organized and seems to just what he is doing.

I looked into that and one potential problem to ask about is that in the past when there was a price increase Ford gave you price protection so that when you bought a car at MSRP you got the price you ordered it at. As I understand it when you are buying it based on the invoice price when there is a price increase then the price you pay will increase and you will not get the price protection. With the way that inflation is you might have to wait nine months for your Maverick so to me it seems very likely that there will be at least one price increase before you get your truck. I want a hybrid so I expect it will take a while for me to get it so I think it is likely the price protection will be important to me. I am also getting a pretty basic truck so it has less of a markup so I decided not to take that deal.
