The XL will be 20% of monthly builds. The hybrid will be 35%.

The highest odds are an XLT 53%, Eco 65%.

In round numbers two Ecos for every hybrid and four XLT/Lariat/Tremors for every XL are a monthly average.

Perfect! If you can squirrel away a few hundred bucks each month you'll be able to pay cash for the whole thing by the time it arrives! Well, as long as you get price protection for your 2027 Maverick.

Just kidding (mostly).

But yeah, you have at least 6 to 12 months.

my 2022 XL (not a hydrid) took 4 months and 1 week. Jan. late to May 27th

I was surprised and consider myself lucky

Forgive me if this is posted everywhere everyday. I just ordered a basic 2024 hybrid XL trim today. Im just trying to get any indication of when it would come in to the dealer? I know production does not start until October. I would prefer 6 months or more so I can save more money for the downpayment. Any general timeframes would be appreciated.

If production starts in October.... early December 2023 is probably the earliest possibility. But the first few months of production should be focused on carryover orders. 24MY Maverick production is supposed to go until about December 2024. So it could be as late as Jan or Feb 2025 if you get one of the last ones!
Big range and really no way to predict.

I mean this in the nicest way possible. Really I do. Seriously.

The fact that you made that statement shows you are new to the Maverick game. And yes, it is a game. A really messed up and nonsensical game. Up is down and down is sideways.

In the Autumn of 2022, Ford canceled thousands of Maverick orders that were already assigned VIN numbers. Let that sink in for a moment. That is like assigning a SSN to a baby and then killing that baby. Ford also simply did not schedule tens of thousands of additional valid orders that same year, and told customers to put in a new order if they wanted another chance in the 2023 model year.

Now we saw something similar happen again the past few weeks. Ford has made it clear that tens of thousands of 2023 model year orders will not be built, and customers should put in an order for a 2024 if they want another chance at a Maverick. Sound familiar?

It very much could be "never". It already had the possibility of being never for two model years worth of Mavericks.

I say this not trying to be an ass or to scare you or to sound bitter. I have owned two Mavericks at this point. I did wait a looooong time for each of them to be scheduled, produced, and delivered.

328 days for my 2022 model year.
274 days for my 2023 model year.

I only ordered the 2023 model year since my 2022 was not yet scheduled at the time the order banks for 2023 were opened (and then closed).

I hope yours takes exactly as long as you want it to so you can put down a big cash down payment. But the people who have half-jokingly commented that you will be able to pay for the entire truck in cash are seriously only half joking. They are half serious about that happening....

P.S. As others have said, hybrid XL is the unicorn Maverick. Literally has been stated by Ford that those will be the two rarest things. The low percentage of each being produced when combined together lowers the chances more than when considered separately. Once again, not trying to rain on your parade, but the wait for a hybrid XL is statistically going to be a long one. There is always a lucky person out there who beats the odds, but the odds are a known quantity here, and they are stacked firmly against hybrid XL.

Stick around the forum. It is not all doom and gloom. I promise.

Well, the good news is you will get to wait your preferred 6 months - no problem.
You do not even have to consider October.
The bad news is - as I can see you are just beginning this process - is you can't even imagine right now the world of hurt you are about to go thru.
Ford has created a special kind of hell for the XL hybrid.
There are people still waiting for their 2022 XL hybrids that were "rolled over" to 2023s and now 2024.
Most of us have been waiting 10 months now for the 2023 XL Hybrid and it is looking like we are not going to get them for years.
Good luck to you - bail now - or steady yourself for a process like you've never experienced or could ever believe could happen.
It's kind of refreshing to see someone new on here still young and hopeful and thinking like the way the world worked just a few short years ago.
I sometimes forget there is more to life than this Maverick debacle.
Get out now.

I am looking at my confirmation email of 11/08/2021 for my 2022 Maverick.
It was rolled over to a 2023 order on 9/16/2022.
On 7/18/2023 I received an email rolling it over to a 2024 order.
Don't hold your breath.

If it truly is "in production" it is a 23 not a 24. MY24 production doesn't start until later October.

As they stated above, XL hybrid is rare. Like meeting a super hot single woman that loves to drink beer, watch football, mow the yard and cook :rolleyes:

Sept 2022 ordered my XL hybrid from one dealer and ordered my wife's XLT hybrid from another dealer. We werent sure of allocations.

update: Wife's XLT hybrid is scheduled 7/26/23. My XL hybrid was never scheduled and dealer converted it to 2024. Who know if it will ever be built.

This is not an isolated incident, there are many in this situation.

Personally, I don't think anyone who orders an XL Hybrid for the first time this week will ever get built.

You seem to think Ford and your dealer want your money. You are wrong. They are going to built XL Hybrids primarily for their commercial fleet customers, who also buy Transit vans and Superduties, where Ford has an actual profit margin.

I may be wrong, so I will apologize to you in advance, and wish you good luck.

Ford has a really neat term for when they overlook your build. They call it "balanced out" which means they will not build it. Both the XL and Hybrid is constrained; together, you are heading for a "balance out" at the end of the production year, unless your dealer is fat on allocations and then Ford will ignore these constrains.
Some people order and get their truck in like 6 months. Mine took 18 months, and I ordered as soon as the banks opened up in 2021. Some people don’t get their order at all. In essence, no one knows.

Just a follow up -
Do you want to learn all kind of new phrases that a simple car buyer should not have to know?
Acronyms like DORA and COVP and phrases like "allocations", "priority numbers" and the tried and true "Supply chain constraints"?
And so much more.
Then try to analyze with us on here what the hell is going on trying to assign reasons to each action and non action that happens?
Oh well they did this because of that so we can expect this.
Then have that turn out to be totally wrong.
Then maybe resign yourself to OK sit and wait patiently - then be told wait you better jump and do this or make sure this was done just the right way by your dealer or we will cancel your order.
And so much more.
I used to be young and full of hope too now a bitter old man.

Must keep in mind the rollovers should get built first. This and the number of those that are hybrid XLs will greatly affect when/if your new order is built . We already know most of the rollovers are hybrids. I'll bet a good number of them are original XL orders also. My XL hybrid probably will never be built.
