What Are Y'all Doing About Window Tint

Do you have experience DIYing this? Did you go through some cussin sessions before you got the application down or was it eezy peezy?

Always aftermarket for me. Been using SML Window Tint in Lewisville, TX for over 30 years. On multiple cars usually keeping them 7-8 years. They even replaced tint on my F150 that was over 15 years old.

I also recommend SML Window Tint in Lewisville, TX.

Had them put it on my wife's Taurus and my Ranger. Professional quality workmanship. Never had any issues. Also very reasonably priced.

I will be having them do my Maverick's two front windows when I get delivery in January.

It uses ceramic particles instead of dye to provide the tint. Better visibility, doesn't purple, better near spectrum (IR, UV) rejection.

I've done it a few times, not really that hard on flat glass. i have done vehicle wraps too so window tint is less stressful.

Lariat trim here. What are you doing for tint? Dealer install or aftermarket? I see some good Groupon's out there (I am frugal, I am buying a Maverick, not an F150, right?) but am wondering what others that know more might suggest?

Just got 25% front tint done at the local tint shop. $180. It looks great.

My tint info (XL, no tint option)
- the pro (Sun Shade on Van Dyke, Warren, MI) said the front sides had essentially zero tint.
- rear sides and back come with 18%
- he installed 18% on the front side windows, which matches the factory rear sides
- he installed 18% over the factory 18% on the back light, essentially doubling the darkness.
- it looks great
- $150 ($50/ window), took 45 mins.

I WISH there was a no factory-tint option honestly. I'd prefer "fishbowl" style myself but as there isn't any "taking it off" i'll have to match the fronts.
