call it what you will and try to laugh it off but those digs at fellow forum members is low ball.
Ford Maverick What’s Ford’s thought process on exterior color changes? 200

Tell me I was spot on without telling me I was spot on... And you are one of em lol.

Imagine getting so offended over sarcasm online. Over a joke about brand loyalty... It's like I insulted your wife or something and she can't defend herself so you challenge me to a duel. Sorry bruh, I don't slap box.

Low ball? Nah, I was aiming for em.

You are not even disagreeing with an opinion, you simply just missed a joke, took it personal and can't admit it.

So share your opinion on the topic or leave me alone. Way too many like you on this forum. Way too many.

Ford is basically brain dead on this. Terrain over Eruption Green? Making Silver and Carbonized Fleet only on XL? WTF? Well if they are trying to curb demand, this helped.

I think the many minor changes Ford has made to the my24 options, colors and pricing are an effort to help speed production mostly. Yes, some additional profit and to guide sales in the proportions they want to produce.

I love Eruption Green, but the hype/desire of having it on the Maverick is beyond me. Green exterior with blue interior? 🤮

I am also a bit biased, I will order the Terrain color if my '23 doesn't get build lol

My ‘23 XL Hybrid, Carbonized Gray, probably won’t be built in ‘23. In ‘24, Carbonized Gray (and Iconic Silver) will only be available for fleet purchases. Why? I understand when colors are deleted from production due to lack of sales, but why remove colors from the general public and grant them to “fleet only”?
Whatever their thought process, they need a dark green and a dark brown.

I don't expect a dark brown to come. They had one on the Bronco Sport (Kodiak Brown), no one ordered it and it was removed a year later.

I never got my Velocity Blue. Atlas Blue is OK, but I'm still not over it. Ongoing therapy is helping

And a dark blue. My ‘23 order is Alto Blue; for ‘24 I‘m going with Carbonized Gray, although I would have loved the F150’s Denim/Blue Jean blue option. The Atlas blue is just too showy for my tastes but I’ve seen a lot of pictures on this site where people are hugely proud of their Atlas blue and it looks great for them.

Henry Ford did say "Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants, so long as it is black."

Well the XL is largely a black interior, and there is the BAP option for other trims.

I was happy to hear Atlas was replacing velocity. That couple shades darker makes all the difference.

The only thing I wonder as to why Eruption Green isn't an option is to extend the lifespan of the color at the factory. If you use it on both Maverick and Bronco Sport at the same time, you've got say two years before it's played out on both models and they have to swap everything out. If you offer it for two years in the bronco, then stop it on them and add it to the Maverick for a couple years, you've got four years at one factory using the same tanks and material.

I could easily be wrong, but it's just a thought. If I'm right, then we'll see EG in Maverick in '25 or '26 and it'll drop from the Bronco Sport.

Actually, not a bad thought. Model unique colors give the models an identity.
