Went into settings as shown by Alfetta159 and my manual. Settings does not show me a drivers assistance tab. For now I'm leaving the lane departure warning off. A shame the owners manual dfoesn't match my Maverick.

OK, maybe I’m wrong and I know many people answered this already saying it was the lane assist, but doesn’t that little hand warning have to do with the auto hold feature that allows you to take your foot off the brake? On my 2025 that’s what it is.

EDIT: I was looking at the wrong symbol. Disregard

Yes, that's what that symbol indicates, but that's not the symbol the original poster was questioning.

Yes, because often there is no other vehicles close enough to benefit from a turn signal. 🙄
It's called forming a habit. Have you ever looked in your mirror and wondered "where did he come from?" -- that's why always signaling is a good idea.

Nope, I've never wondered 'where'd he come from', because I look in the mirror first and then I look over my shoulder and only then do I change lanes.

Now if you're the kind who is finding himself wondering, "where did he come from?" then perhaps you need to stop daydreaming, put your phone down and pay attention to your driving.

Now, how's that unsolicited advice sound to you?

Thanks everyone! Finally got it sorted out! Didn't realize there is a settings on the screen by the speedo that is different from the settings on the big screen. Usually I'm not too bad with technical things but this Maverick is making me feel like I'm technologically illiterate! I'm leaving lane warning off.
One of the pluses of owning a Maverick is this Maverick forum where I'm able to get great advice! Saved me a trip to the dealer where they probably would have given me incorrect info.
I love my Maverick. One of the things I love about my Mav is the Atlas blue paint which is almost a perfect match to the paint on my '29 Ford Model A in Washington blue!

It is part of copilot. The system like any AI system has issues. If there are stray marks on the pavement the system can get confused. Example:

I found that turning the intensity to the lowest setting helpful, or just turning it off as others have mentioned.

yep - just turn it off and use your own knowledge, experience and driving skills - relying on automation to solve a problem that seldom exists and that is still in essentially 'training mode' will end up running you right into a wall.

you were right the first time - you don't need this option, it's only going to cause you trouble, shut it off, forget it, and continue to use your lifelong driving skills that apparently have gotten you thru your lifelong driving just fine..

With the intensity turned down low and to just notify and not correct - I find Fords lane keep assist very passive and well done.

Whereas Hondas is take it or leave it in your face assistance.

if it’s turning red consistently you are definitely over the line and might want to keep it on.

I imagine it's like this:
