Sadly my wifes Escape will default to Eco
Then it must be an older generation.

I thought the current generation had the same platform as the Maverick.

Then presumably the 2025 Maverick should fix this annoying problem.
I would think. Everything going into this Mav is already in our Escape. The escape will eventually default back to normal, but seems to hold the Eco for a couple days. It might also be my wife playing with it. Its also much easier to change. Press mode and all the modes pop up on the touch screen.

My 17 sonata hybrid would default to eco as well. But I sometimes prefer normal on that car because it has same regen power as eco.

NOPE on the 2025's fixing this! My 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD defaults to Normal and does NOT remember my Eco Mode selection from the previous drive! I'm chatting with MyMavMode now about 2025 testing. However, I need it to be easily accessible to "switch back" to Normal mode on start-up for another driver, who insists on "Normal".

If the Eco mode on the Maverick behaved like it did in the '17 Prius I owned, (reduced throttle sensitivity in the lower half of the curve, regen unchanged from Normal) I would call this person broken and revoke their license. ;)

Given how the Maverick instead doesn't change throttle sensitivity, but ups regen A LOT, eh, I'm kinda inclined to agree.

Mine changes throttle sensitivity quite a bit in Eco, very similar to our 2018 Prius in this regard. Significantly less sensitive . If you change modes while maintaining consistent throttle, you can feel quite a difference from Eco to Normal to Power.

For the 25 MY Mavericks there's just so much low hanging fruit Ford botched in the software.

The full-screen animations when changing modes is a jerky and stuttering failure, and each one takes several seconds, making changing modes an awful user experience: click, wait, wait, wait, click, wait, wait, wait, click, wait, wait, wait to reach a mode. Then the "return to last mode" dialog when starting the truck back up has never persisted long enough for me to actually click OK and accept it.

Fixing either one of those issues would make utilizing modes in the truck a more reasonable experience.

Amen, ctag. The number of warnings/notifications/animations is higher than any vehicle I’ve owned.

Oh, please let this happen. Worth the cost of admission, if possible.

Also, I'm sure the EB owners works love if auto start stop could be permanently disabled.
Stop Start can be disabled with beta version of Forscan, did it on my 2025
