USB music skips

I have the B&O system and play music via a usb flash drive. Has anyone noticed tracks skipping now and again? Like small parts (1-2 seconds) of the song, not the whole track.
Wonder if I just have a poor quality usb drive or if it’s the head unit.

Yeah, I’ve never had this problem with them in other vehicles, so don’t think it’s the files. It seems to be random….rarely the same track twice.

I have B&O and play Spotify >99% wired, roughly 80% of songs downloaded (not streamed). At least once per trip I will get a very brief stutter, about a half second to full second. I could listen during a 4 hour drive and maybe hear it stutter twice so it's something I've just been ignoring.

I assume it is the Sync3 unit. It could be the phone or Spotify but I never notice any issues playing from Spotify except with this truck.

Don't know anything about Spotify but if your USB drive is to old it won't work at least that's what happened to me. Try a newer faster one like this and it will fix your problem.

I have the same problem with Spotify in my truck. It happens both when my phone is plugged directly into the truck and when I use my wireless CarPlay dongle. I don’t have this issue in my wife’s CRV.

Not sure what phone you have, but I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and I’m running iOS 16.3.1.

I play my music the same way since NOV 22 and never had a problem with skipping, plays perfectly.

Yay for us…. I’m going to check and see if there’s an update for the radio this weekend. I see you have a ‘22, I have a ‘23 so I have Sync 3 with Nav, so it’s not just the non-Nav Mavs.

Both of ours do this too. Through multiple updates. Streaming or playing downloaded doesn't matter - they both skip randomly. Same music in other vehicles on the same phones - no skips.
