Same logic applies to overbooking airline seats. The seller knows that even if everybody shows up for their seat (truck), they can offer to “buy out” or “pay off” those that truly don’t have a seat (or won’t get built). This guarantees 100% capacity fill, which, at least to the airlines is cheaper than flying empty seats. Of course, this being Ford, logic may not apply AT ALL.
true but the airline doesn't oversell a plane by 50+ percent...

they hybrid quota didn't sell out in one day ...or 3 hours..., there was plenty of time to get a hybrid order in on the west coast.
If anything the west coast had an advantage getting orders in when they opened them at 3pm CST. All the dealers here were closing up shop and not even trying to put orders in.

And bank opens up at 7am EST? While the dealers in the west coast are ZZzZzZzzZzZz, the East Coast dealers filled up the quota. California = gets nothing! Yeah! Moving on.
Banks opened in the afternoon.

How many of the orders are hybrid? Open on the 15th, c

Software engineers create API to interact with Ford's ordering system and auto detect on order bank opening. Orders all queued up. BAM! instant quota fill-up.

You ever tried getting tickets for popular concerts? And you wondered why all sold-out within mins? Then a whole bunch of tickets going on sale with mark-ups in the 2ndary market?

Not that it really matters what time the various dealerships throughout the country placed their orders. The allocations system will (theoretically) make sure all the dealers get something allocated to them. So time your order placed only matters within the same dealership for the same priority codes.

Well my dealer that I work for now says they went from 7 previewing Mavericks yesterday (mine included) with 3 of those being tremors , to just 2 previewing (mine included) today(no Tremors, just 2 22MY rollovers), mine shows build week 11/21 previewing.

Do with that information as you wish

Ironically, it may very well be the rare 8-10% constrained Tremors that are first made for MY2023.

Sounds like time of day doesn’t really matter then.

Given that scheduling isn't due to start until next week, the fact they are previewing at all is weird, isn't it?

My dealer said the exact same thing trust me. "if they weren't trying to schedule something they shouldn't be previewing ANY Maverick orders whatsoever"

They are talking about these: https://accessories.ford.com/products/splash-guards-molded-rear-pair

Any competent dealer has known they are a constraint and steered customers away from them because they can be added on after the fact very easily. And will be free with the FordPass points the purchase provides.
Just emailed my dealer today and asked her to remove the splash guards from my hybrid lariat. My dealer is a commercial truck specialist and may be a bit clueless on constraints, but she got my maverick ordered the very first day orders were open, and got me a F150 Powerboost WT ordered and delivered earlier this year for list price, so I am sticking with her.

She emailed me back a new order sheet today that shows I am priority 10, which is good, right?

Exactly. If the hybrid was offered in AWD, I would have gone that direction. For me, buying a 2wd pickup is like buying a blind hunting dog. Sure, it's a dog, but it doesn't work as it's intended purpose. The eco still gets double the mpg I get out of my current full size pickup. For 60-70% of my everyday driving the Maverick will do what I need at a lower cost and I don't need to spend $60k to buy a new full size.
F150 Powerboost WT super crew long bed I picked up this year for $49,000 (including tax & lic.) has been getting 23.5mpg with a full load of tools and three men in it. It is 2wd, because I only keep 2 4x4’s at a time (one when needed for off road projects and one to recover that one when the crew gets it stuck)

this is not how that works at all.

Ford does not have a public API tied to their ordering system that is accessible to anyone.
