I would say for the near term, very few if any Hybrids will be scheduled for production.

No offense to anyone who really has their heart set on a Hybrid, but I am thankful I ordered an EB.

I also note splash guards are a constraint..... There is little point to ordering this and other ancillary iterms from the factory (floor mats, tonneau covers, etc.) when you can have your dealer install these items after your truck is delivered.

I really wonder about why the splash guards in particular is such a constraint. It's just molded plastic. Is it that hard to subcontract out?

Probably on a container in the Pacific ocean. There is something I ordered from an online shop that took over three months to arrive and most of that time was waiting on the port to process it.

I remember reading somewhere that the splash guards is contracted out to a local plastics firm next to the Hermasillo factory complex, but they've had staffing issues and haven't been able to manufacture the parts that they make to feed the Ford Hermasillo plant, but not sure how true that is.

Could be. My dealer not-so-subtly mumbled through that option and I took it as a hint to not ask about them.

Nope, But I have a full Front & Rear OEM gently used set for sale here in Connecticut...

Any competent dealer has known they are a constraint and steered customers away from them because they can be added on after the fact very easily. And will be free with the FordPass points the purchase provides.

If very few hybrids are going to be scheduled will Ford allow us to switch to Ecoboost? I read somewhere that they weren't allowing an engine switch on orders. I want a hybrid but I need a vehicle. I wish Ford was more transparent with delivery timing. My salesman says he doesn't know any more than I do and claims I can't change engines on my 23 order.
