Just for info, I installed the below lug nuts on my Maverick recently and grabbed a few images to show the results. The first image is the overall difference in size, which is not much. The second is the box with part # for anyone wondering, and the third is an image showing them installed on a few studs compared to the OEM nuts. I opted for the 'longer' ones as I figured the extra purchase with a socked would be a good idea given the high torque spec.

As you can see the new nuts are only slightly longer installed and are still recessed from most of the wheel contours. Sorry for the dirty wheels 😑

147lbs? That's insane. My wife's suv is 88lbs/ft
That's No Joke!! I'll set my torque wrench to 100 ft-lbs when I replace those stupid 2-piece lug nuts and be done with it. Plus, I'm no fan of "Fine" threads because they goober up and seize to often anyway. Besides, Metric M14x1.5 Grade 8.8 Max recommended torque is 110 ft-lbs. I seriously doubt the wheel studs or lug nuts are Grade 10.9 on such an inexpensive vehicle.

How do bronco sport wheels fit on the maverick if the studs are different sizes?

I agree, its the highest I have ever seen.

Even the Ford Bronco Sport and Escape is only 99 ft lbs
It just physics. Righty tighty lefty loosey. The lug nut has mass and the rotation of the wheel causes a lever force within the nut (think weight of the nut with 1/8"(+/-) lever spinning at 90mph = about 1100-1200 rpm?) For 28.5" tire. How much friction does the conical surface plus the friction of the threads will it take to keep the lug nut from spinning off? Particularly when one chooses to lock the brakes at 90 mph? The nut has bunch of inertia. (The left drivers side of car will spin off and right passenger side will try to get tighter) unless you have a vehicle that has lefty tighty righty loosey (aka reverse thread) studs on driver's side like my 1966 plymouth.

Hmmmmmm now I am confused. I just purchased a set of XLT wheels to install on my XL. Can I just use my XL lug nuts or do I have to purchase different lug nuts? I was hoping to install these tomorrow but you guys have stolen some of my thunder :(

Wheel Accessories Parts 20 Pcs 14mm 1.50 14x1.50 Thread 611-204 ACPZ-1012-D ACPZ-1012-M | 1.66" Long OEM Style Lug Nuts Chrome 13/16" Hex Fits 2015+ Ford Mustang 2020+ Explorer 2015+ Edge | Maverick

These are the ones I bought to replace the stock chrome stop lugs. I couldn't get half of my stock ones off (I am parially disabled) so had to take it to a tire shop to remove. They looked up the recommended torque setting and put the new ones on for me.

Thanks for the replies. I have another thread going and it really gets confusing. So far out of about 10 replies most say the oem XL chrome lugs will work with my XLT wheels. I would like to upgrade but today I just want to install the wheels. When I upgrade I can just do one at a time and install the new ones.

Seemed high to me too...
~147 ft/lbs is the correct torque for the Maverick's M14 wheel studs like it is for the F150. The reason the Bronco Sports wheel torque is lower is due to it's smaller M12 studs...
