Not trying to belittle concern, but this all sounds like user error.

1. Incorrect remote jump points used underhood.
yes, assuming he's been back to the forum since then, I believe the OP realized that shortly after responses to his pic started coming in.

In his defense, he has not been on the forum since his post #4.

Good job not reading your owner's manual, or the markings on the covers under the hood that you removed. Your NOCO saved you from yourself and severely damaging your vehicle. You hooked up the NOCO completely wrong and its internal safety mechanisms kicked in.

Additionally, you are not to jump the 12v battery directly on a modern car as you are bypassing the BMS and that can cause issues. I would highly recommend you reset the BMS on your truck.

Oh, and read the manual.

I have the same NOCO GB40. I wonder if those short clamps will even reach both post.
It reaches. We have the 40 as well.

Heck, what you used as a negative is labeled as a positive, with a "no jumper clamp" image on it.

That one is where the 12v harness carries current everywhere and might be on a 300+ amp fuze. Good thing the DCDC Converter wasn't active?

I can't help but wonder is someone isn't posting here because they were able to successfully override the safety protocols...

It's really not that far, pack goes on that indent on the fuse box area and both cables out the correct direction reach both points.
Fortunately I have not had to use on my truck. I did use it on a Colorado at work and it worked great. Hopefully it will be used to help others, because I'm not jumping anyone with this hybrid.

I dunno guys. Is this the best way to kick someone off the forum? You think he will ever come back?
Have you never made a dumb mistake?
Poor taste IMO.

He’s not a new member. Quite an extensive post history that he probably should have stumbled across posts on hybrid batteries - especially since he has a NOCO he’s aware of the 12v issue.

he’s a big guy. He can handle some jabs.

I can say 100% that the correct posts under the hood of the hybrid DO work, used them to jump my minivan last month.

My truck hasn't needed a jump either. But I've used the jump box multiple times to help others, without risking f-ing up my truck (or my previous vehicle) with a direct jump.

And the jump box is also safer, traffic-wise. No moving a jumper vehicle around to get the jumper cables close enough to both batteries.
