Has anyone been able to do this successfully? I've tried like 4 different times, and still can't get it to disable. What am I missing?

Instructions from the owner's manual:

Make sure that:
• You set the parking brake.
• The transmission is in park (P).
• The ignition is off.
• You close all vehicle doors.
• You unfasten the driver and front
passenger seatbelts.

1. Start the engine.

2. Wait a short period of time until the
seatbelt warning light switches off.
After Step 2, wait an additional five
seconds before proceeding with Step
3. Once you start Step 3, complete the
procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are
switching off, fasten then unfasten the
seatbelt four times at a moderate
speed, ending in the unfastened state.
After each unfasten, the seatbelt
warning light switches on and off with
each fasten.

4. The seatbelt warning light flashes for
confirmation.

Just use Forscan to disable them, including that stupid menu.
I'm sure that's easier said than done...how does one go about doing that?

@SM2535 please update this thread with your experience once you've done this! I don't have my '25 yet but I'll want to do the same thing.

I used Forscan on my 24' to disable the seatbelt display upon start up, best use of Forscan next to disabling Auto Start/Stop.

I saw someone posted that they can’t get Forscan to recognize the 2025 yet. Hoping it’s working soon because I can’t wait to remove that screen either.

For me it was the seatbelt warning menu on my 24 Lariat. Even after I would buckle the belt the menu wouldn't go away. I went the forscan route. I used the option to keep the chime but disable the warning menu. Now as soon as you buckle a belt the menu goes away. While I was at it I disabled the annoying double honk every time you get out of the running truck w the fob in your pocket (that was driving me crazy and it's a short drive). I found one more thing I'm going to change. On a recent trip, when I used the quick lane change option (tap turn indicator) I see that it only flashes 3 times. Every other vehicle I've own does at least 4 flashes. I've read where some even will do more which could be handy when pulling a trailer. I see that there is an option to change that setting using Forscan. These changes along with adding the plugin device that keeps the auto engine stop/start off without having to turn it off every time I drive it has made my Maverick damn near perfect in every way!

I shut the seatbelt alarm off for many reasons. I would have left it alone if it waited to 30 MPH to kick in. On the farm it was just an annoyance.

OP: If you don't want to/can't use Forscan; the key to getting the owner manual instructions to work is:
In Step #3, after you unbuckle the belt, make sure the red seatbelt warning light has come back on before buckling it again.

If you ever need to have the dealer do a software update (recall, etc.), you'll have to do the chime defeat procedure again - whether done with FORScan or using the owner manual instructions.

To clarify, from what I’m hearing the seat belt light is that lil red thingie on the dash. I was able to get driver side chime nullified but no results on passenger side. We do wear seatbelts, but turning into our dead end street to driveway habitually unbuckle early. Wife unbuckles hers, then come that overbearing chime.

Thank GOD with the 2025 (at least the Hybrid version), they disabled that double honk. Honestly, it's probably my favorite thing about my new truck, and I love a lot about this thing lol.

Which red seatbelt light?

The user manual instructions disable the chime only on a per-seat basis.

To do the passenger seat:
With only myself in the truck, I sat in the passenger seat and followed the owner manual instructions, just like for the driver's seat.

IIRC, I had to repeat the process multiple times before I got the passenger seat disabled. Try it several times, if at first you don't succeed. Also try it with & without the Parking brake engaged.
