Just writing to confirm this worked for me in my '25 XLT!
Great to hear! Hopefully we have "cracked the code" for all the 2025's!

FORD, are you on here? You might want to test yourselves, confirm, and update/correct your Owner's Manuals! . . and maybe send out a communication to dealers and 2025 Owners!

I tried thus, didn't work. Admittedly, had trouble clicking the seat belt latch.

Will try again later.

Was asking….any difference in procedure of 2023 vs 2025 models?

This seems to be working for the 2025’s. Can’t speak to the 2023’s, but seems like a good chance the procedure is slightly different.

Tried this today on my '25 XL as per the modified procedure above. In the driver's seat, I got the confirmation that I had successfully done it. Next time I started the vehicle, seatbelt reminder was back. Not sure what I'm missing.

Like this ? . .

Revised 2025 Seatbelt Chime Diable Instructions:

Make sure that:
• You set the parking brake.
• The transmission is in park (P).
• The ignition is off.
• You close all vehicle doors.
• You unfasten the driver and front
passenger seatbelts.

1. Turn Accessories Power ON by pushing Start Button WITHOUT foot on brake.

2. Wait a few second after the
seatbelt warning light switches ON.

Once you start Step 3, complete the
procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are switching off, fasten then unfasten the seatbelt four times at a moderate speed, ending in the unfastened state. Do this slow enough so the seatbelt warning light switches on and off with each fasten and unfasten to ensure each was recognized by the computer.

4. The red seatbelt warning LIGHT flashes for confirmation.

5. Turn Accessories Power Off.

same procedure to turn back on.

When you say “seatbelt reminder was back on” do you mean the audible chimes and/or the visual graphic seat monitor with red/green graphic indications for each seat?

The OM and thus, this revised/corrected process turns off the CHIMES (audible) ONLY.

Ahh ok then this is a misunderstanding on my part. I assumed it would remove the visual graphic on the dash display that asks for an "ok" acknowledgment every time I start the vehicle.

I buckle my seatbelt before I even start the vehicle so this was an annoyance to me. It sounds like, short of using Forscan, there is no way to stop this visual graphic from displaying.

Warning box will still appear. This gets rid of the annoying CHIME. But when starting up, you can hit OK and get rid of the warning box. It will re-appear later if you unbuckle (like say nearing the house, almost home), but the fn chime will not come on.

On my '23, the key to getting it disabled is; each time you un-buckle during the process, wait for the red seatbelt light to come back on before buckling the seatbelt again. When done, success will be indicated by the red seatbelt light confirmation blink several times.

I disabled each seat, by myself. Not necessary to have someone in the drivers seat, when disabling other seats.

IF you ever take the truck in for recall software updates, they will reset this annoyance and you'll have to repeat this procedure.

Yes, some 2025 owners have already used the Forscan beta version successfully to turn off the seatbelt “Monitor”. There is a Forscan thread for this.

Has anyone been able to do this successfully? I've tried like 4 different times, and still can't get it to disable. What am I missing?

Instructions from the owner's manual:

Make sure that:
• You set the parking brake.
• The transmission is in park (P).
• The ignition is off.
• You close all vehicle doors.
• You unfasten the driver and front
passenger seatbelts.

1. Start the engine.

2. Wait a short period of time until the
seatbelt warning light switches off.
After Step 2, wait an additional five
seconds before proceeding with Step
3. Once you start Step 3, complete the
procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are
switching off, fasten then unfasten the
seatbelt four times at a moderate
speed, ending in the unfastened state.
After each unfasten, the seatbelt
warning light switches on and off with
each fasten.

4. The seatbelt warning light flashes for
confirmation.
The problem is in step 2. It should say "Wait a short period of time until the airbag warning light switches off." Then follow the rest of the instructions.

For my 2002 F250 I went to the local salvage yard and bought a seat belt clip and plugged that in and stopped the chime. In the 2024 Mav I just plugged in one of the dogs lanyards and stopped the chime. I don't think I can stand on one foot while pulling my ear and do that seat belt plug/unplug dance.

Argh I was just about to go out and try it until I saw this post. I guess I need to try Forscan, because the seatbelt popup is annoying me mainly because it interferes with the last-drive-mode prompt...

When I start up, I first see the popup asking me if I want to return to my last mode, but before I have a chance to hit Ok, the seatbelt box pops up and then by the time THAT goes away, the damn drive mode prompt has dismissed. So annoying. I don't think the sequence happens if you fasten your belt before starting the ignition, but I've never met anyone in my life who does that.

Confirming for 2025 Lariat, Driver & Passenger Front Seats
The owners manual is indeed incorrect.
Thanks everyone in the previous posts!

Make sure that:
• You sit in desired seat.
(Passenger side-lean over the arm rest so you can see the red warning symbol flash at the end)
• You close all vehicle doors.
• You set the parking brake.
• The transmission is in park (P).
• The ignition is off.
• You unfasten the driver and front
passenger seatbelts.

1. Turn Accessories Power ON by pushing Start Button WITHOUT foot on brake.

2. Wait a few second after the
seatbelt warning light switches ON.

Once you start Step 3, complete the procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are switching off, fasten then unfasten the seatbelt four times at a moderate speed, ending in the unfastened state. Do this slow enough so the seatbelt warning light switches on and off with each fasten and unfasten to ensure each was recognized by the computer.

4. The red seatbelt warning LIGHT flashes for confirmation, after the 4 time unfastening.

5. Turn Accessories Power Off.

same procedure to turn back on

Just tried this procedure on a 2025 Lobo. After the 4th unclicking of the seatbelt the light does flash but doesn’t shut off the chime. Does it chime only when you get in and not while driving?
