I have a 23 Lariat and that warning beeper about checking the rear seat every time I turn off my engine is getting to me.
I don't remember having any beeping and message to check the rear seat until the last update was done on my truck.

Did this annoyance get installed with the update they did or does my truck have an issue? I sometimes have a paper towel roll on the seat but that shouldn't set of any seat sensors if there are any.

Turns on every 180 days (give or take), and you need to turn it back off. Many dealers turn it off during PDI, and surprise 6 months later, you begin getting the alert.

Setting is under the Vehicle settings, and even warns it disables for 180 days.

Please realize that the warning alarm has nothing to do if there is someone/something on the seat. It is triggered by opening a rear door.

Please note, I open my rear doors more often than someone has sat in the backseat.

Mine has never gone off in 4 months I have owned the truck and I generally use the back door almost every time I get in my truck. XLT.

Maybe a SYNC 3 thing?

I'm going to watch mine and see. I turned it off in the software and checked later and it was turned back on when viewing the screen a few hours later after a drive. I turned it off again. If it turns back on again in the software it's going to Ford. I did do a request for any software updates but it came back as currently up to date. That's getting turned off now just in case. Hopefully I have no more issues. I never had this happen in the first 6 months until right after the software refresh at my house so that may have reactivated it if he did a master reset. Very annoying beep and screen messaging.
