Received Ford notice of recall of trailer lights signal hiccup. And, again, no software fix available yet. That in 2nd qtr this year. Sit tight till fix available, will be notified.

Don't plan to tow any trailer. May never. So I sit, wait.

It's for any Maverick with a 4pin or 4+7 pin system, it uses the same software regardless of the trailer brake controller. If your truck came with a factory installed hitch, it's been recalled.

I just checked my Ford app and it says the software is available for download. I've used mine several times with a trailer and love the trailer backup assist. Just had a mobile tech finish up the last recall for the backup camera. Ford is now the king of recalls....


What happened to quality is job 1. Also what happens if you need service. With this outdate tech compensation plan. What Farley does not say regarding the 120K per year salaries is that the people have to spend 50-70k to complete the training then purchase their tools at an average price of 50K. They start out making 19-25 per hour. That is a far cry from 120K. Looks to me like Ford needs to fix their tech compensation plan.

The software fix for the 25 and 26 models has been available since March 17th.

apparently, they haven’t pushed it out over the air yet. My over the air updates are turned on, but haven’t seen anything yet.

I have a 25 model and have my updates turned on too...no update yet for me. Some Maverick forum members with a 25 or 26 model did get their system updated at a dealership though.

Yeah, I sure don’t wanna have to take it to the dealer and be without my car for a whole day (or more). !!!

It is weird that the recall does not show up in my Pass app, but does on NHTSA. Had service done on 3/23 and the fix was not available.

For MY25-MY26 Yes. MY22-24, another trip to the dealership, since there are no OTA updates for those years.

Had mine updated when it was in for a NYS Inspection on 4/03...also an oil change while there. Done and done.

Same here. Not showing on the App but it does show in my dashboard in the Ford website at ford.com, but it also says that the software fix is not available yet. I have a 2024 XLT

Ford is number 1 in two different categories F 15o number 1 in truck sales , number 1 in recalls.
