Trailer Hitches on different packages

While studying the different packages components, I noticed that with the 4K towing, off road and luxury packages all come with a hitch receiver. If you order all three packages you only get one hitch (7 pin) but your paying for all three. This seems a little unfair for pricing. Shouldn't there be a discount?

Your getting a 7 pin connector with brake controller and also still have the 4 pin as well. This receiver is likely the same for all of them. As far as hitches, you will buying those after if you don't already have them.

Oh yes true. There is double dipping all over the place. Towing and FX4 overlap with some cooling part. Lariat and FX4 both add productivity screen. I think it is unethical. I get they are a company and need to make but I think it is uncessarily confusing and greedy.

The 2k hitch is just the hitch and a 4 wire plug.

The 4k adds to that heavy duty radiator, auxiliary transmission cooler, a different final drive axle ratio, a 7 pin connector, I believe different rated rear springs, and electric brakes controller.

Other than just adding to the hitch assembly I fail to see where that is double dipping.

IMHO FX4 is a waste of money, ditto for either lux package and lariat. Supposed to be a cheap truck an XLT in the middle with some extras balances out the cost.

Theres always the XL. I talked to a guy who added cruise to his already. Hes an IT guy. All he did was buy a used 2020 escape wheel with cruise control for $100 used. Plugged in Forscan to his OBD ll connector and into his laptop. Tripped 4 switches inside the computer and viola he has factory cruise control complete with lit icon on gage panel screen.

He said this stuff is all CanBuss wired and programmed. The computers are all the same. It's about how and what you turn on inside the damned thing code wise to make it work. His is AWD. He is thinking about getting the shift selector for a FX4 and seeing if he can turn everything on for the extra modes the FX4 offers. Had I known it was hooked up this way, I woulda done exactly as he did.

Personally I ordered an XLT AWD 4K tow, full size spare. Floor liners, and 110V/400W inverter. I like the interior in the XLT, and the few extras in the package. Is it worth 3k more. Probably not, i was going to order the exact same setup on an XL and do without cruise control, however with the Granger Ford discount, I decided to get the XLT, as it would still be the same price as a full priced XL specced that way.

In my opinion, I agree to disagree. I really like my Lariat with all the luxury it entails.

I love your dogs. We had the exact dogs Rica our black and tan died at 16 and our brown, Mocha had to be put down at 12. We miss them so much.
