I have the 2025 hybrid for Maverick. I added an after market cap with a light bar inside that has a plug in harness- over a year ago. I have been getting these annoying messages for 2 months on the dashboard (with a ding). Dealer has completed all the recalls and did a diagnostic. They say its not them but could for $190, do a diagnostic to see if it is the cap. I'll be taking it back to the ARE installer to confirm it is or isn't them.
I have never put a trailer on this truck. I have had a bike rack but removing it does not eliminate the messages.

Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks

Update: Problem solved. The ARE cap installer used a logic box. this was the issue. They rewired the cap and error messages are gone. When I asked the installer why he used a logic box, he replied 'I just wire according to the diagram". I know he went in a wired it under the glove box.
Thanks for all the replies and it looks like this sparked some other good conversations-

Sounds like they tapped into the 4 pin trailers wiring for the light bar. It will need like a curt mfg wiring harness for the light bar but I not sure they have one yet for the my25-26. Might be assuming wrong, maybe others with more knowledge will chime in

You have to go to Features setting for trailers to make width and length small (1 or 0 inches) to get blind spot traffic to work if using 4 pin plug in

The light bar is inside the cap on the top to light up the inside the cap. I am not sure where they connected the harness. I will see on Friday.

OK, by default, plugging something into truck's trailer receptacle (or tapping into it) will deactivate BLIS, etc. and the message will pop up.

Probably not but if you are plugging into the trailer plug for power= Have you had 26C10/NHTSA Recall 26V104 performed?

I have a 2025 XLT, with a LEER cap that is wired for internal lights, third brake light, etc. I’ve not had a problem, but the installer wired it up under the hood. They used a wiring harness and plugged it in along with the other wires. I don’t know much more about it. When I took delivery, I asked for them to show me what they did. They pointed out some wires and a fuse block. I could have had the cap’s lock to work along with the other locks and the key fob in the truck. I was afraid of them tapping into the lock system stuff so I asked for a lock with a key instead. All of those options are offered through LEER when ordering the cap.
Yes I did not do the key fob either. I may need to not have the lights. I cannot tolerate the messages and dinging :)

I'll also posture that it sounds like they wired the lights into the trailer wiring. Only way for them to make the messages go away is to rewire the lights into another power source on the truck.

I get the same cross traffic alert when I plug my bike rack with taillights into the four prong plug as I would expect being it thinks I’m pulling a trailer - the lights work great until I put my Maverick in Neutral Tow once I connect it to my RV to flat tow the Maverick after getting the above mentioned recall taken care of the problem still exit I found that once the vehicle is in Neutral Tow and the ignition is turned off the 4 prong plug is not powered so I have to look at installing a second 4 prong plug using the Curt Mfg harness it seems, I haven’t done the installation yet so I can’t verify this is the solution to resolve my issue…

You may have to connect to RV brake light to activate the curt relays or perhaps your RV will handle the load without the curt.

When my Maverick is plugged into the RV all the brake lights, turn signals and taillights work great while I flat tow the Maverick with the ignition off - the issue is with the four prong plug not being powered when in neutral tow and the ignition is turned off so it only affects my bike rack taillights that I plug into the Maverick’s 4 prong plug the Mavericks taillight are obscured when the bikes are loaded and the cover installed so I installed taillights on the bike rack
