When my Maverick is plugged into the RV all the brake lights, turn signals and taillights work great while I flat tow the Maverick with the ignition off - the issue is with the four prong plug not being powered when in neutral tow and the ignition is turned off so it only affects my bike rack taillights that I plug into the Maverick’s 4 prong plug the Mavericks taillight are obscured when the bikes are loaded and the cover installed so I installed taillights on the bike rack
My guess is that you'd have to wire the Curt harness to the battery, I doubt the Flexbed 12V leads would be powered up.
What about splicing-in a flat-4 cable from the RV-7 plug into the motorhome? Would be cheaper than buying the Curt harness.

Plug the bike rack into the RV not the mave 4 prong plug.

I guess I would rather tap the Maverick‘s taillights because the connectivity between the RV and Maverick performs flawlessly it‘s just the 4 prong plug on the rear of the Maverick that is not powered when the Maverick’s ignition is off when in neutral tow - I need to look closer at the Curt Mfg solution I have no experience with it…

Plug the bike rack into the RV not the mave 4 prong plug.
I will look at this today I don’t know if I have both a 4 prong and 7 prong plug on the RV I use the 7 prong RV plug to connect to the front of the Maverick

You can get a combo 7 to 7 and 4 or a 7 to 4 to plug into RV.

My concern coming off the RV for the bike rack application is the distance from the RV to the rear of the Mavericks bike rack and having to route a totally separate wiring harness not a bad option and I appreciate the comment but I’m lazy lol

i reached out to Curt Mfg today to get some more information and to answer a few questions I have regarding their plug and play harnesses that supports an additional 4 prong plug - I'm not really crazy about running a wire to the battery to support the install - we’ll see what they say…

Why didn't the installer use the 12v accessory provision instead of the trailer harness? My guess is ignorance and laziness.

The curt needs up to 30amp if you need to charge another 12v battery in the "trailer" or less to power the bulbs, etc that's being used. You could feed a dc powered from RV maintainer to the mav jump pins to keep mave 12v charged while hooked to RV. With nothing plugged into trailer 4 pin I expect the curt connected to the mav 12v to detect maves rear lights to be sensed by Curtis relays (working like towing mave currently does). The maintainer will keep mave 12v charged.

I assumed the four prong plug for the trailer connection was powered with the key off it works perfect with the bike rack lights when I normally drive the Maverick - the ignition is off when you engage neutral tow so that was when I realized it’s not always powered - the bike rack lights have to communicate with the Maverick’s Taillights so the 12v accessory provision is not an option if I understand you correctly - no installed involved

This definitely clears things up for me thank you - I also assume the 12v supply in the bed is not powered when the ignition is off as well so grabbing power there won’t be an option- I was just trying to avoid running a wire to the battery using the Curt Mfg harness

on another note I do have a “charge line” already installed from the RV to the Maverick I ran this when I installed the baseplate and light kit

Easiest/cheapest would be running 4 wires from RV to bike rack 4 pin plug.

I don’t disagree but that’s another thing to manage each time I connect or disconnect the Maverick to the RV and would require running new wiring from the from grill of the Maverick to the rear bumper of the Maverick to access the bike rack lighting

OK, by default, plugging something into truck's trailer receptacle (or tapping into it) will deactivate BLIS, etc. and the message will pop up.

.
Then I have to ask why Ford dealer could not say that for sure.
