AND DT owns Tire RackBelieve DT charges $60 a wheel installed. I got them to price match Tire Rack bc I was buying a full package and TR is under $30 a wheel. DT price is a bit ridiculous considering they’re already installing valve stems if you’re buying wheels/tires
I believe that in 22 some 415 were used for I don't know what reason. Could have been due to constraint of 315 ones or the 415 have additional functions and may have been installed as a test for final production switch. NEW TPMS are tested and ready for production. I don't know but some of TPMS sensors go to sleep after sitting still for 20-30 minutes to save the battery. New functions require more battery time when active. So if you have trouble getting them to program they have gone to sleep and wheel needs to move (I don't remember how many revs? Varies, I'm sure) and wake up sensor so it can pair to vehicle. Sensors can count the times the tires pass and use that along with tire circumference specified in memory table to calculate vehicle speed. If you get a message after driving maybe 15-20 miles that there is a sensor problem the battery is probably dead or not paired or ?. Coming sometime are Tpms mounted to inside of tire (and possibly may be manufactured into tires themselves, would include temp sensor and calculate remaining tread, etc.)? Hey could enable screen message "Time to rotate your tires" it wouldn't surprise me that the vin #'s with the 415 version also got the 360 package.Cool. Well I bought the ones I mentioned and had them mounted on an Maverick that was produced right before they switched over to the 23 model year (mine was built in mid-November). They work just fine and "relearned" with ease.
So at the very least the dates you mentioned about a switchover from one frequency to another are incorrect. Ford is/was using 315 frequency for at least the entire 22 model year. I have no reason to believe they changed that for the 23 model year.

I call bull shit. Only one way to find out.Looks like we will have a new 2023 XLT soon. I have a set of 2022 XL rims and TPMS sensors for winter tires. The local tire shop claims the 2022 sensors won't work with the 2023 XLT as the sensors are year specific. I called a local Ford dealer service department and was told this was probably correct.
I've never heard of that the sensors are model years specific. Can anyone shed light on this?
If all goes as planned we'll have our new Maverick by the end of the week.
Ooo, this sounds good. You can get a set of 4 on ebay for $16.This is what I m gonna do when the time comes and I m looking at getting a set of chrome focus 17" wheels from Detroit tire.
Understand your‘23 model reacted to the ‘22 TPMS without the need for a relearn tool?So the sensors worked fine on our 23 XLT hybrid coming from a 22 xl
The tire shop set them up when we got the winter tires in Jan of 2023. I'm not sure what they did to program or relearn them.Understand your‘23 model reacted to the ‘22 TPMS without the need for a relearn tool?
HOw did you resolve this? The tire shop set them up when we got the winter tires in Jan of 2023. I'm not sure what they did to program or relearn them.
They worked fine last winter. This winter a month after I installed the tires/rim back in the same position( I only put about 1000 miles on them the 1st season) the TPMS warning light would come on after driving about 15 miles. It reset back to normal operation/readings each night. It was a general warning not a specific position. I took it back to the tire shop and had them check it out and the pass side rear sensor was the problem. I bought a new Ford sensor and the tire shop installed and programed it no charge. It is 315 Mhz sensor. A few weeks later I got another message showing another TPMS warning. It shows the position as the driver front sensor . It stays on constantly now. The Ford sensor was about $65 and I thought it would be good to match the other sensors. The shop will install a generic one for $35 and will go that route this time. I did try to see if dropping the pressure to about 20PSI and driving it a bit on our long driveway and then reinflating it to 35psi might change something, no joy.
As far as I know, there are only 2 frequencies for TPMS, 315MHz and 433MHz., the only difference is the mounting fixture for the specific rim. You also do not need a tool to program them to your car anymore (as in previous years). Your Maverick should pick them up automatically. Store your spare rims a distance away from where your truck is normally parked, I've read the truck can pick up the signals and give problems in the readout.Looks like we will have a new 2023 XLT soon.
