The Ford website says the lights will not function at startup. I don't trust computers. This is not due to the hardware. Computers do exactly what they are told to do. The problem lies with the programmers. I have hauled frequently with Blue Boy. I always plug the harness in after the trailer is attached and check that all lights are operational with engine running before I put the truck in gear. If they are not functioning properly, I will turn the engine off and restart after a 30 second wait (rebooting the computer) and check them again . The lights have always functioned properly. I expect they always will. If they don't and I'm not able to use the truck for a simple hauling task, Ford will hear about my displeasure although I believe it will fall on deaf ears.

I have the 2025 XLT AWD HYBRID and my dealer service department contacted me and scheduled me for the update. They also found another update that my truck needed for a code it was throwing and updated it. The update went well and no problems since.

Ford dealer mobile service came to the house and updated both the trailer light and parking brake pawl recalls. Took maybe 1/2 hour. Those were all the open recalls on my truck, new in October '25.

WTF is the parking brake recall? My dealer said they have the trailer fix ready and will come out and do a mobile repair. No mention of the parking brake on my ford page. Was it something you knew or were informed about beforehand?

Yes, I have a letter from Ford from Februaery, 2025 NSTA Recall 25V863 for '25 & .26 Maverick Hybrid vehicles amog others. "...the Integrated Park Module may not properly engage the park pawl, preventing the vehicle from locking into Park when Park (P) is selected." I never had a problem to my knowledge tho I normally engage the parking brake.

Ford mobile service came to my driveway to do the recall. I also had him do my first oil change while he was here. :like:

My truck is in the body shop for repair (for over a month) after someone clobbered me, which is a separate thread if I choose to tell the story. When I took it in on April 6, the shop ran the VIN and told me there was a very recent recall and update for trailer lights becoming inoperable (2025 XL 2.0 ICE w/ 4k tow pkg). I did confirm the existence of the recall on-line later that day. Has anyone here needed to address that issue, and was the update successfully installed via wireless, or did you need to take your truck to the dealer? I am gong to need to tow not long after get the truck back, and I need to plan ahead if I will need dealer intervention. Thanks.
I had the dealer perform two recalls while I was having some sloppy trim work corrected. One of which was the towing recall, and I do tow heavy at times. Trailer brakes are a must!

I'm more concerned with the brakes giving way 25% during normal braking which requires a sudden need for heavier brake application while not towing. It's a very uncomfortable feeling when the brakes suddenly glitch and let loose affecting stopping distance. I'm at 30k miles and bought the FORD ESP to 100,000 as I suspected bugs with this truck. This week I noticed there's no 120vac power.

Built in Mexico 🇲🇽 ! Cheap labor isn't good and good labor isn't cheap.

NOTE: If you plug something in that requires more than 3.3 amps the 120 circuit shuts off to protect the inverter. Also it is modified sine wave and some items will not work for that reason.

It's interesting that I had no problem using two DeWalt battery chargers and an LED light, but when I went to plug in a Milwaukee charger by itself there was no power indication. I even had powered a small air compressor on this inverter with no issues a few weeks ago. I'll check it again today to see if it "reset" itself.

It should be coming to the 25-26s as an over the air update at some point. At least it says that in my Ford app when I check the recall. Though as others have said you can bring it to Ford or have the Ford mobile team come out and do it.

Note that a single port Milwaukee fast charger needs 2.1 amps so a two port Milwaukee fast charger will require more than 3.3 amps.
