I was okay with the two tone seats on the Lariat after I drove one but I much prefer the BAP interior. The part that is still blue is muted and almost looks gray in some light. I love the black wheels and they are much easier to maintain. With my carbonized gray it gives it a murdered out look. Do what you want (and can afford) life is short.

Yes this is specifically why I did not choose to BAP my Hot pepper red XLT. I think the interior looks very fun and quirky, and the light colors help give the cabin an airy feel. I don’t like black interiors on cars so I’m biased, I think they look boring and less spacious.
In the XLT at least, cabin isn't that dark. The BAP seats aren't black but a textured grey cloth, and the door and dash inserts keep the lighter grey plastic to break up the darker slate. Upper pillars and headliner stay light tan, so it doesn't feel like you're driving in a submarine like some other blacked out trims.

I was torn about whether to add or not add BAP. I love the exterior but wasn't a fan of the interior (I don't like the blue/black color combo). The XLT gave dark grey seats, which, made it look better.

Ultimately, I did not go with BAP simply because I liked how the standard XLT interior looked with Area 51 and still liked the exterior of the non-BAP. I'd also rather use that money for some mods I'd like to do. If it was another color, I would probably add BAP (Cyber Orange, Carbonized Gray, and Shadow Black all come to mind).

Only reason I added the BAP on my reorder was because I didn't like the orange accents in the XLT. So glad I was able to. The cost basically paid for my visual peace of mind.

I like the look of the standard seats/interior. I would assume it’s not super complimentary with hot pepper red.

I’d rather actually get a truck built, so I left it off.

With how initial orders went this time around, I’m reconsidering to BAP.
Thoughts?

Edit: it appears BAP now requires lux for XLT…so 4K more total. I don’t much care for the lux, so that’s a bit irritating.
BAP came with my Mav and it looks good. If I had been ordering I think I would’ve gone with it. The wheels look great and the exterior light treatments look good as well.

I get a lot of compliments on my Hot Pepper Red/ std. interior XLT. Currently looking for a shop that will paint my brake calipers orange.

Neither the XLT nor the Lariat standard interiors work for me. I specifically ordered an XL for the 2022 Model Year because of the interior. I sold the 2022 Maverick XL Hybrid because I preferred the 8-speed transmission that comes with the Ecoboost and the AWD suspension.

I was going to order an XL Ecoboost AWD when the 2023 order banks opened until I saw the BAP. I ordered a Shadowblack 2023 EB AWD BAP 4KTow and received it in early January. I compared it to a friend's non-BAP Hybrid XLT, and glad I went with the BAP (picture below).

Honestly, I could care less about everything else associated with the BAP. The only reason I went with it was to get the interior. Thus, it was an expensive upgrade to get the interior I wanted.

If I did it again and for myself, I would go XL EB AWD with Tow and CP360 in HPR. As it turns out, my son wants a 2024 XL Hybrid and we ordered HPR. The hybrid premium makes sense here in California. Plus, he is able to wait as long as necessary to get it. Hopefully, ordering it from the number one Maverick dealer in the US means they have the allocations to get it built.

Good luck with your decision. You are going to love your Maverick no matter what you decide.
