Would be interested to hear any recommendations for bed tie-down straps. Has anyone mounted ratcheting straps on the bed walls? If so, what brand and any trouble with installation or weather wear? Photos? Many thanks.

I just get the 400lb orange ones from Harbor Freight. Cheap enough that I can have like, a literal dozen and not sweat if one breaks (which hasn't happened) or I leave it somewhere. Strong enough to hold down anything up to and including motorcycles and ride-on lawn mowers. Mattresses, sofas, furniture, playsets, plywood, load of 2x4s, drywall, etc they are great for. They frequently go on sale for $6-8 for the pack.

My neighbor has some Box Link compatible ones on his F-150 and I think it's neat but not worth the cost. $35 per strap versus $3.25 per strap. I'd rather put the extra money toward installing all the optional fixed-point tie downs on the Maverick (I think there's a total of ten that are possible).

I'm a fan of PowerTye https://www.powertye.com/ , made in USA, will customize length/hooks/colors if you have a specific need.

I have most of mine made with 18" soft-tye's at both ends, as well as latch hooks.

I have a bed rail system in my 25 XLT and I have the Maxina ratchet straps https://a.co/d/7lEzbjJ

I mounted 1 at the rear by the tailgate and the other on the opposite side at the front of the bed and I use them all the time. They are long enough to cross from corner to corner and across. I've had no problems securing anything. I've hauled furniture. Bikes. Exercise equipment an assortment of of camping and farm equipment. The straps worked well for everything I have needed to secure.

I use straps from several of the big chain stores here in Canada (Canadian owned and operated) Anyone up here would know the brands. Trouble free for three years so far. I lubricate the gears with anti-rust protecting oil a few times a year to keep them working smoothly, since they are often used in wet weather.

Number one rule, don’t leave them sitting out in the sun when not in use, UV will kill your straps faster than anything else.
