  2. One Good Reason to Love My 2025 Lariat Hybrid

Ask and ye shall receive...This is Willow. She owns the back seat of the Grey Ghost. She's a great back seat driver.
  3. One Good Reason to Love My 2025 Lariat Hybrid

Go for it, friend. But can you match the mileage just cruising around town?
  4. One Good Reason to Love My 2025 Lariat Hybrid

Yup. Just running out to the kennel to pick up my fur missile and then back to the house. Typical of the driving I do around town & country.
  5. One Good Reason to Love My 2025 Lariat Hybrid

The trip in the photo was from my home to the kennel to pick up my GSD and back home. Equal mix of uphill and downhill both ways. '25 Lariat Hybrid w/4k tow package. Most of my driving is from 3 to 10 miles r/t, in and around town. We're in wine country, 8 minutes from the center of a 30k...
  6. One Good Reason to Love My 2025 Lariat Hybrid

Typical mpg for the trips I take around town, which makes up the majority of my time behind the wheel. Love this thing!
  7. Backup sound warning.

    In California, gophers have lawyers.
  8. Post YOUR Maverick TRUCKING!

It is the 4K and zero sag. Did a great job of handling the weight. Zero float in the front end and no difference in acceleration or braking. Good little horsey!
  9. Sunroof Option

Here in the once great State of California, our government is singularly focused on all of the fraudulent ways they can siphon money out of our pockets so I don't think we'll see any change that doesn't increase the amount of blood they can suck from our bank accounts.
  10. Sunroof Option

Thanks for the note. It's a dealer provider temp. paper plate. Long gone into the shredder.
  11. Post YOUR Maverick TRUCKING!

Halfway through unloading 1,200lbs. of river rock as part of a landscape project out back. The materials yard is 9mi. from home. Got 41mpg under load and the truck drove like a dream. The extra heavy duty tarp did a great job of protecting the factory bed liner as well as the lens covering...
  12. Sunroof Option

I wanted a small truck that was quiet, comfortable, and capable. After 25 years with a GMC Sierra 1500, I've already hauled all the big loads of rocks, trees, lumber, etc. that go with building a new home on a good sized piece of land. And with 296K miles at 17mpg, it was time to send that...
  13. Introducing a new accessory: Tactical Seat Molle Panels

These look great for a single person who works with his or her hands. But, parents, be extremely careful if you have kids of any age sitting in the back seat with racks like these in front of them. I'm visualizing all the potential ER visits with broken and torn fingers from kids playing with...
  14. Ford Maverick then vs now — same name, totally different vibe 😂

Yes it was. I believe they called it Forest Green. Beautiful!
  15. Nice old original Maverick

Wow! That's $3K more than I paid for my brand-new Maverick in 1970! Wish I had kept that little beauty. I found a photo online that looks exactly like the one I bought new...
  16. Mabett Giveaway: What Did You Name Your Maverick?

Meet Grey Ghost Jr. We call her G.G. I drove a grey '99 GMC Safari 1500 Classic new in '99 and drove it for 26 trouble-free years and put 296K miles on it. We called her the Grey Ghost. When it finally went to that big truck stop in the sky, I looked at and drove every small pick up on the...
  17. Ford Maverick then vs now — same name, totally different vibe 😂

In the middle to late '60s, I bought a succession of old, non-running cars, repaired them and sold them ('54 Ford, '56 Pontiac, '58 Buick, '62 Corvair) and worked a number of jobs to save money. By 1970, at 18 years of age, I was able to buy a brand-new Maverick from my uncle, Jack Mongiello...
  18. If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?

Great photo. That looks like one happy pup! Mine is definitely a world class back-seat driver...
  19. If you reordered your Maverick TODAY… what trim are you picking?

I went with the Lariat for a bunch of reasons. The seats are more comfortable (for me), I wanted the moon roof and I also wanted the power sliding rear window for my GSD fur missile. She loves to lay her muzzle on the center head rest and watch what's happening behind the truck. With the...
