Thinking of dropping Cp360 in my xlt hybrid order, Is it helpful even? Heard some negatives on it I’m just wondering how effective it is in lane centering and blind spot monitoring.

Looking for owners experiences.
I know the mirrors light up but does it alert you any other way?
Its bs... It's not like the truck is an f250. You don't need it.

I can't fathom a world in which we are trying to save $500 on features that may drastically change your life.

I could mention a few other things on here that I've seen being regarded as "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" whilst we complain about big brother making your car safer. Just saying this is the same logic that says you should save a handful of dollars on an oil change by waiting another few thousand miles.

For my XLT, the changes aren't really that drastic. 360 only adds blind spot monitoring (partially covered by the spotting mirror on non-360 XLTs) and lane keeping alerts/assist (not super useful unless you're driving a lot of highway miles often). Like all things, I weighed the "lifetime cost" for 360 (around $1000 for 10 years of ownership) and didn't think it was worth it for those two features.

Well, for one, my head swivels like most mammals does so I look from side to side before I begin backing. And , two, the Mav has this incredible invention called windows that I can see through when I do #1 allowing me to scan for other cars or people pushing carts.
yep, people get too reliant on tech features and decide (intentionally or not) to not do the basic 'looking around and taking safety precautions. Doesn't do you any good if you slam it in reverse without looking around and the safety features beeps at you after you've run your ride into some guy with a cart.

Just my 2 cents here, having actually used the system in question, and having not had it in any previous vehicle that I dailied I can say it works very well. The front radar tends to get covered in snow easily, but that just disables the adaptive cruise.
This concerned me. Now I am getting an XLT and I don't get adaptive cruise. So if you engage adaptive cruise, not knowing it won't work because of snow, wouldn't you rear end someone, because you didn't know AC was not working and the car didn't slow?

I'm not sure this is true - not sure how Ford selects builds but my Hybrid XLT LUX with 360 and Tonneau and Spray in Bed liner is in production this week. Ordered in August. I'm ahead of anticipation?? Happy but? What's up Ford?
Almost my build except I have weather mats and rear window. Hopefully ill get scheduled soon.

No. When the adaptive cruise control is unavailable, the dash will throw an error and there will be an audible beep.

The cross traffic alert and the blind spot monitoring are well worth it for myself. The lane keep assist is useless. If it works as good as it does on my accura rdx, it's a no brainer. May save on insurance in some states.
Exactly the same for me. Quite a few times the blind spot has saved my current car from a parking lot mishap. If the Co-Pilot even prevents one small fender bender, it'll pay for itself. Only a few bucks more than my $500 insurance deductible.

Congratulations! It sounds like you have had the good fortune to never be parked by a panel truck that blocks your view of what is coming down the aisle.

Because if you ever had, you might realize that a warning system that tells you if some yahoo is speeding down the aisle behind that panel truck is a good thing, not a bad thing.
Well actually I made my living for 30+ years driving vehicles that you can't see behind when backing except with the use of mirrors. So we became quite ingrained in knowing what was around us BEFORE we started backing.

So................If we know that panel truck is next to us when we need to back out (as opposed to those who are reversally challenged always choosing pulling through to a spot that they can drive forward to vacate) we would back out slowly and carefully. I would even recommend putting one's flashers on when they do so to give others half a clue as to what's going on.

Someone else said the blindspot monitoring turns off when you have a trailer connected. So thats the dealbreaker for me on not getting it. Im not a fan of lane assist because there are times you just need to make a move and get the eff out of the way so i would prob turn it off either way.

From my 33 years of driving in the SF Bay Area I've realized that most people NEED this kind of tech. Our driving test is a joke and it's easier than ever to get a license to kill from the state of California. While the tech isn't perfect it's getting better even though it wasn't that long ago that a Tesla drove into a center divider at 70+ mph because it followed the wrong line.

Every day I see these mouth breathers on their phones and hope they have some flashing light to wake them up before they kill somebody. These people will never learn to pay attention or check their mirrors until it's too late. They will use the tech as an excuse NOT to become better drivers, but honestly they never would anyways.

So if you like the tech and think it will help you then get it. If you don't, then don't, it's really that simple. Personally I didn't want it but I would have liked an option for larger side mirrors, these things are tiny!

Im not going to be parking next to anyone. All the dents and scratches in my current vehicle are there from being parked somewhere and people scraping it with their doors or cant handle turning their truck so they slice through your back panel with their bumper. None of them came for when my vehicle was in drive or turned on.

My last vehicle someone backed up into it so hard it pushed mine into a diff parking spot and hit another car. Again, I wasnt in it. 360 isnt saving you from that, and if you need 360, you are probably the one hitting peoples cars in parking lots.

Ever noticed how many perfect drivers there are online? Funny that over the last 50 years I never seem to meet them on the road - I always encounter the imperfect ones. And I'm one of the imperfect ones myself. And even on my better driving days I can get distracted.

Another pithy military saying seems appropriate for all these self-labeled "perfect" drivers: "His s--- doesn't stink".

Excellent plan! I try to do that too.

Unfortunately, people then come and park next to me.

So far I haven't come up with a way to prevent that...

That's really good advice. I usually pull through and drive-through if I can. After 2 accidents backing up, I'm one of those backward challenged dudes. I need the cross traffic alert to help with my inattention deficit. Really looking forward to the copilot 360 features. But I recognize we need to learn what is around us and use the mirrors correctly - I just have issues.
