I ordered at the end of october and the excitement is definitely gone. I will grind it out though - it still suits my needs better than anything else. Hopefully there will be an excitement bump when it's finally delivered.

In the mean time I am scratching the itch with an old explorer that's keeping me busy wrenching. Funny thing is. after driving that for the last 2 months I think I really like a bigger, more comfortable vehicle.
I went through the same thing. I waited 10 Months to get mine and was no longer excited. However that changed once it got here. Love my little truck and It fits my needs better than anything else out there right now. Hopefully you will feel the same.

I felt the same way. Mine is available for pick-up Saturday and I am ecstatic for it now. The delays are so frustrating so I get it. We will gets our Mavericks. It will be worth the wait.

For those who havent gotten one yet i think it might be best to wait to 2024 or re order in 2023 with less stuff. JUST my opinion, i dont think lux is necessary. If you need all these then just wait 2024 there will be lot competition with many new redesigns for trucks coming out.

I doubt there will be many changes except for maybe exterior colors.

It shouldn't be, but it is if you want stuff like remote start and heated seats/steering wheel, something us that live up North like to have. Don't know why Ford can't just offer those as stand alone options so you can get them without getting the Lux pkg.

Yeah I thought that just to get heated seats you had to add the entire LUX package was a bit ridiculous - Had to have it regardless -

Agreed they should just part it out. Give you the option pick one . At cheaper cost. Remote start through your phone the app . Anyone has that :)

I don't like the remote start through the phone personally. Some companies like Toyota and Subaru charge you a subscription fee just to start your car. I could do without heated seats but I want/need a remote start (with a regular old key fob thank you very much). I will never ever let someone add a remotes start after the car is built a again with the experience I had with my Escape. It either comes already installed right from the factory or I don't get it.

I installed Perimeter Plus with remote start a few weeks ago and it works flawlessly with the XLT key fob.

No sympathy if you weren’t prepared from the beginning for a couple year wait, and couldn’t see the obvious. Just look to the Bronco. If you didn’t expect a similar situation with a popular vehicle, in these times, then you were being foolish….. yet came on here to complain about it 🙄

Ordered mine (XLT/LUX/360) in July. My sales rep sent me a video of it coming off the carrier on March 28. I actually had a touch of buyer's remorse before I even took delivery and was totally prepared to walk away if they wanted even a dollar more than the "Build Your Maverick" price.
Took delivery March 30th, Dealership was great (Larson Ford, Lakewood NJ) and after 2+ months and about 2500 miles, this little truck (yes, it is, and feels, like a small truck as opposed to a car with a bed) has proven to be worth the wait. If you're expecting an entry-level vehicle at this price point, you are going to be pleasantly surprised...
I also ordered from Larson. Great news about your experience with Larson. Did you get what you wanted on your trade-in price? Was your salesman Robert ? Did they take their time explaining the gear shift, video screen, drive modes, etc.?
