Picked up my Velocity Blue Hybrid today. So far it’s all I hoped for. Found a strange omission by Ford… there are no hash marks at the 5 mph increments on the speedometer; only 10, 20, 30 etc., no marks at 15, 25, 35 etc. Where we live there are lots of 35, 45, 55, 65 speed limits. Too late for me but Ford should make a running change and add some hash marks!
Who looks at speedometers? The only time I glance at it is when I see radar and by then it’s too late anyways…

Well good luck with your new ride and I hope the speedometer deal works out for you.

Yeah, that’s what Ford forgot…. No, Ford forgot me and my September 18th order… forgot to tell me about allocations, about stealerships that will cut your heart out. Pretty sure I can figure out the where the halfway spot is.. of course maybe not cause, you know I don’t have my truck!

I never use the analog speedometer. I wish it was a full digital display and I could put different data in its space.
I would really love the ability to customize the dash display.

I rarely look at the speedometer and rely mostly on the digital.

Hmm, not sure if I've owned a car with 5mp increments on the speedometer. Maybe back in the 80s when they had the silly 85mph maximum readout.

(can neither confirm nor deny that 85mph thing made it easier to 'bury the needle' though)

Everyone drives at least 5 over now days so just go with the flow. 30 in a 25 50 in a 45, although 70 in a 65 is questionable but there is 80 on there so that's good. Ford got the real ones (like people drive) marked ok.

It does not bother me. I recall learning about extrapolation in junior high.

What are the chances the OP would cry about the clutter on the speedo if there were 5 mph increments?

No cop is going to write you a ticket if you're going 37 in a 35 mph zone.
Tell that to the sheriff that popped me for going 56 in a 55. Only had the truck for 2 months and I already got in trouble lol

Just think we could have DIGITAL temps of ice coolant, hybrid battery coolant entering battery and leaving battery all of temp sensors in transaxle, how about a display showing % of charge/discharge rate of hv battery currently available compared to amount possible at optimum battery temperature?
