apparently all you need to do is go through a car wash!I don’t want the FX4 decals and plan on removing them. Will a hair dryer work okay instead of a heat gun?
My 2018 FXCant take decals thru car washes. Too much pressure.
my 2018 F150 with FX4 decals has been through multiple different car washes many many time without any decals peeling off. Based on what I’m reading on this website and on Facebook the build quality of this Maverick truck is shit.Cant take decals thru car washes. Too much pressure.
From what I hear, there are a lot of fake rumors out there made up by people who don’t own this truck claiming the truck is made of shit. Some speak through their ass.My 2018 FX

They are not the same as Decals from years ago. They are vinyl cut out letters on a paper backing that is removed during application. They definitely should not come off . Ford probably used a low grade vinyl . There are many grades, and it makes a big difference which one they used .Let me ask everyone a question. Has anyone ever put together plastic models? If you have, did you apply the decals? Do you even know how the decals work? For those that don't, the decals are a tin layer of film that is on white paper. You have to place the decals in water to remove them from the paper. They are very thin and flimsy and break easily if you're not careful. What do you think the Ford decals are made of?
It's not the end of the world nor a deal breaker. Here's a solution. Go find a good vinyl decal store that can make decals and do window wraps. They can deign decals and apply them for you at an economical cost. Vinyl decals will last you a very long time and won't peel off. For 22 1/2 years, I owned a Mobile Disc Jockey service and had my company name and phone number applied to various vehicles I owned. None of the vinyl peeled off of any of the vehicles I owned.
If you have a Cricut or Silhouette machine, you can make your own. I've people on Etsy and Ebay selling decals too.
It's not the end of the world.
