My new 2024 Mav xlt hybrid has 700 flawless miles on it. Given its newness, parts availability, original oil, should I take this vehicle on a 2000 mile trip across the Western US? I‘d hate to get half way across and find my vehicle grounded indefinately because a part is in short supply. Any opinions out there?

11 months ago we took our two month old hybrid xl on a 2700 mile trip from Seattle to Boulder, Utah. Problem free all the way.
If I ever get around to it I plan to write up trip report

I would not hesitate to take you trip. I drove from TX to NC an back in my 2022 Mav Hybrid after 900 miles locally and never had any problem at all. Since then I have driven almost 22,000 problem free miles and most of that was on the open road.

Mine had a VERY rough start to life. Driving home 400 miles from the dealership in Kentucky, in January, through the state of Tennessee from west to east to North Carolina through 8-10 inches of snow, slush, and ice on untreated roads. It did very well and the AWD system proved itself over and over and over.

And its fine. I would however change that original oil around the 1k mark though.

Throw an extra quart of oil under your back seat along with jumper cables and get going. Check your oil at every fill up and drive the heck out of it.

I drove mine mostly at night over 1000 miles to get it home from the dealer. Enjoy the drive.

1,700 miles home from the dealer over about 3 days from Kansas to Seattle. 98% freeway speeds. Over the continental divide. Totally fine.

I would do it. I'm planning on taking mine to the Keys (1100 miles each way) as soon as my divorce happens. I'm trading one Mav (2.0) for another (hybrid) about then.

I try to keep it under 250 miles/day. Past that mileage, I start looking at a Turo rental. Only 1 road trip this year met that and I did rent a Turo for it, unlimited mileage.
