I had 873.4 miles on my Maverick after road tripping home from Granger Ford in IA. It had 16 miles on it at delivery.
Take the road trip, driving sensibly until you have over 1k miles on the truck.

Enjoy the ride! Highway miles should help break it in nicely.

We personally did a 1400 mile trip with like 100 miles on the OD. Go for it they are great road-trippers!

My new 2024 Mav xlt hybrid has 700 flawless miles on it. Given its newness, parts availability, original oil, should I take this vehicle on a 2000 mile trip across the Western US? I‘d hate to get half way across and find my vehicle grounded indefinately because a part is in short supply. Any opinions out there?
No problem. Mine went to Connecticut and back from New Brunswick during the winter.

I suggest doing the initial oil change early. Other than that, have fun. You will be super pleased with how little you spend on gas.

I wouldn't hesitate to take the trip. But keep it under 70 or so for another few hundred miles.

Change the oil when you get back, to get the break-in oil and undersized factory oil filter out of the Hybrid. After that, follow the Oil Life Monitor in the instrument cluster, for oil change interval. It not only tracks miles driven, but how many miles are on the ICE and type of driving you do.

Last April, we drove our XLT hybrid 1,300 miles from the dealer in the Milwaukee area (Boucher Ford) where we picked it up, to home in the Tampa Bay area. Smooth, problem free and fun trip. Before doing it though, I checked with the service dept at our local dealer of choice and they said no problem, just don't go overboard on extremes and vary the pace now and then. Just had the oil changed at 5,000 mi.

I s'pose you could leave your new Maverick at home and rent a car. 🤔

Just remember, the rental car could also have maintenance issues.

Throw your fate to the wind, man!

Lots of us have. Most of the hundreds of Granger buyers took theirs roadtripping on day one. We took out Tremor over 3000 miles in 120 degree heat when we picked ours up.

OP: Similar position here and the road trip sounds like a good break in event!

My quandary is...
At just over 1K miles here. Have oil and filter sitting in the garage, full synth. About to take a 650mi trip 1300 round trip in two days.

I had planned to change oil at 1k, but am honestly not in the mood for it having to leave in 2 days. What do you all early change folks think of 2300mi first change?

I'd be fine with 2300 on the first change.

I did mine at 4K but being a hybrid that was probably closer to 2500.

YMMV
