I have an XLT with a hard roll-up tonneau cover. In a heavy rain or going through the car wash, the rear part of the bed gets wet because there is not a good seal along the back edge of the cover, and there are gaps on the top of the tailgate on each side. Not sure I understand why the tailgate would need it?
Ah- that makes sense if you are trying to cover itI have an XLT with a hard roll-up tonneau cover. I'd also be interested in what weatherstripping was used here.
Keep out rain, dust, snow, insects, in short, that’s a big gap back there and if you are using a tonneau and are carrying nice stuff you will need itNot sure I understand why the tailgate would need it?
Sorry, that’s the weather strip that came with my Gator cover. But I know you can get it from Steele rubber products.Dumb question were did you get the weather stripping from?

Gotcha. I will mostly be loading camping gear and have no intention of getting a tonneau. I am looking at the soft topper for winter, but doubtful I would ever need to seal up the back. Can I ask what may seem like a silly question from a different perspective? Why not just get an Escape?Keep out rain, dust, snow, insects, in short, that’s a big gap back there and if you are using a tonneau and are carrying nice stuff you will need it

Please see the post before yours,????
Thanks for the idea and post. I'll be doing this as I'll be using the bed a lot for camping equipment that I want to stay dry and clean. Unlike another poster here that doesn't seem to care if his gets all capped up.Remembered the way to do most weatherstripping. Place it on the moveable part!
