I did the same. Thanks for the tip!I picked up these triangle tiedown points on amazon, fit nicely with the soft open tailgate assist strut mod and even goes over the remaining bottle opener just fine.

Dee Zee brand is my suggestion, but one of the off brands might work ok for the Maverick since the tailgate isn't that heavy. I got a $15 from Amazon for the 25 year old F150, and the tailgate drops fast about half way and then slows, but that tailgate is much heavier. What's a good tailgate assist to get? Go with Ford? Or one on Amazon?
I got this one from Santa! Be sure you have the torx bits for the tie down.Dee Zee brand is my suggestion, but one of the off brands might work ok for the Maverick since the tailgate isn't that heavy. Use the other four in the tie down locations up high on the bed sides. Prethreaded for just that purpose.Just installed the anchor on mine...works great. Of course it came in a package of 5. Don't know what to do with the other 4...maybe someone else would like 1 (or more)...
