I'm looking for these rivets. I talked to ford parts and was advised that the part is back ordered so far out that there wasn't even a potential delivery date this first pic includes the plastic rivet and the second is just for perspective or fitment

Don't listen to others - you cannot just get any old push rivets from Amazon - they have to be the right size, diameters, length, etc.

I had the same issue. I just replaced all of them for a uniform look. This is my July 8, 2025 post from a Maverick Facebook group:

"Last week I asked about OEM replacements for the push type plastic rivets for the tailgate top trim. I got what I thought were some pretty snarky comments. Putting mismatched parts that don't fit may be ok for some of you but not for me.
Besides, getting an assorted box of push type rivets as some suggested would have likely been a waste of money. The OEM rivets are for a 7mm hole with a head diameter of no more than 15mm. Most assorted packs don't have that size.
The OEM rivets are a single use rivet and once pushed in the only way to get them out is to break them.
I found these 15mm/7mm push type rivets with the Phillips-looking head on Amazon and they do a great, OEM looking, job.

Thank you for the information.👍

Do you happen to have a picture of these installed on your tailgate, so we can see how they look with the Phillips head?

No one implied anything even remotely like that, but welcome to the forum. :)

Post number 11: "but it will still be cheaper to buy a bag of 50 generic plastic rivets on Amazon and replace all of the visible ones in that tailgate trim"

And thank you for the Welcome!

I'm just trying to help, and I understand the need for pefection from the original poster - I suffer from the same affliction.

Full shot of mine to show I'm really an owner:

That’s literally my post. “Generic” does not mean “random size and length.”

I may give people too much credit, but the intent was that non-OEM rivets of the required configuration will work just fine, and it does not have to be the Ford part.

We are saying the same thing; you wisely just made your post idiot-proof, albeit at others’ expense.

Anyway, all good. Cheers.

Whenever I looked at the rivet sizes in the assorted pack none of them were the right diameters.

Those are not assorted sizes. That is the rivet you need. There are 10 of these in a bog. I had to replace one as I broke it. They are reusable. Just push the pin and it will pop down and it comes right out. Once out, push the pin back out and re insert into hole and push pin flush

Sorry, on a mobile phone all the ads really mess up what I'm looking at. It wasn't your post I wanted to reply to.

Again, I'm sorry .
