Tailgate Light Bar Possible Solution

I went with the OPT-7 dual row . It does the animation on start up. Did wire it direct to the tail lights. It is sealed in epoxy and aluminum Chanel which can be bent as seen in my truck. The bottom LED that is chasing is a different bar. The OPT-7 is on top

Quick update with one part number correction:

The installation of the tailgate light bar and Curt T-harness is scheduled for Monday morning at the shop I used to own. There will be pictures taken.

The first step will be to install the T-connector and leave the 4-pin loose so we can effectively bench test the light bar before doing any further installation work. If it tests successfully, we'll finish the installation and hardwire the harness and light bar together, eliminating the 4-pin connectors to protect against corrosion.

The correct part number for the Putco Red Blade split bar is 9201018-04.

I just called Putco and they confirmed that they DO NOT OFFER a LED lightbar package which will work on a 2024 Ford Maverick XLT Lariat with Blind Spot Detection!

If I remember correctly, 2024 is basically the same as 2022-23, with 2025 being the refresh. So, regardless of what Putco said, there are a bunch of folks here doing exactly what Putco said they can't do.

I suspect a miscommunication in some form or fashion. Putco may not have a plug & play package, but many of us used the Curt taillight T-harness to get to the same place.

I'm now a year removed from owning a Maverick (traded mine in last December for a Ranger), so maybe one of the current active forum members can help you figure out the disconnect between Putco and what we've actually done.
