Tailgate Light Bar Question

On a 2025 or 2026 Maverick yet? I am looking for a Tailgate Light Bar for my 2025 model and love the fact this has a plug in harness. If somebody can help me out would be great. I have XL Trim in AWD no BLIS and the 2.0 EcoBoost engine.

What trim level 2025 do you have? There appears to be a taillight connector difference between XL/XLT and upscale trims with LED taillights.

Oops I did forget that thanks for pointing that out. I have a XL AWD 2.0 EcoBoost and no BLIS system.

I started looking at this but since it is not for the hybrid I lost interest. You might want to look at the reviews on Amazon for the harness. They are not very flattering at 3.3 stars on 19 reviews. Operator/installer error? Incompatible? Quite possible.

It also only comes with a 30-day warranty (at least on Amazon). That would not give me much confidence in the longevity of the product.

The harness is fine, you just need to swap to LED taillight bulbs because since the harness pulls extra power the truck shuts off power thinking there may be a short or an electrical problem.

Question then I see some links below, but I will ask you. Do you know of any tailgate light bars that would work with standard non led taillight bulbs?

They’d have to plug into the trailer harness and then you’d get BLIS errors if equipped.

I do not have the BLIS system.

I really wanted to install one of these on my 2025 Maverick Lariat AWD Hybrid but I‘m yet to be convinced anyone has a real solution. I reached out to several vendors and none of them would confirm that they have it figured it out.
