Just received the Putco Freedom Blade tailgate light bar. Part of the wiring, besides the taillight harness is that the bar has to be wired to the fuse box (fuse that activates with ignition switch) and to the 12v battery. There is a 12v battery jump point inside the engine compartment by the fuse box. Does anyone know if this jump point is capable of being wired to Instead of having to run the lead to the battery positive terminal itself? It would save me A whole lot of time.

The jump point stud (Copper?) looks to be press fit into a bus link that bolts into the DC bus.
So probably can't put much torque on it.
I used 2 nuts and fit a ring terminal between them.

Did you wire something up to the jump point? Was it a light bar or the one I have? The post looks like I may be able to just thread the connector over it and tighten with a bolt.

Did you wire something up to the jump point? Was it a light bar or the one I have? The post looks like I may be able to just thread the connector over it and tighten with a bolt.
Also is it a hot point? I’m guessing Putco set it up like this to provide power to the relay in the harness which then controls power to the light bar by being connected to a switched fuse Such as the BLIS system fuse.

The jump post is hot all the time.
I wired to an anderson powerpole for connecting a battery monitor and charger.

Kewl I’m gonna try using that then, saves me from having to extend the hot lead all the way to the battery. Thanks for the help!

So I spoke with tech support at Putco today and they confirmed the jump point should be ok to connect the power harness to. Now to find a bolt the same size to use the threads to secure the power cable from the light bar.
