No no didn't need to modify anything else but the apim programing. There's a few dtcs stored. But nothing that trips a light . I can share it but it's specific to my truck. Like I said originally every truck is different
I have sync 4 on the 8 inch screen in my truck now. I will be swapping to the 13 inch screen eventually when I can find the parts. Even though every truck is different, I would like to compare asbuilts to speed up installation.
Thanks

Here's the backside with the tray installed. It's really not terrible

It's great!
Did you cut the back cover?
Can you upload a photo of how it looks from the front?
I plan to do the same. But the screen is very expensive.

Very thanks!

No cutting just heat to massage the plastic around the bold used to mount the screen. Picks are on the first page

It's smaller too. Mines 13.2 inches not 12. That ones also going to need some very custom mounting
the 12" screen is used in the Bronco and F-150, maybe other models now. they got it before the Escape (and now Maverick) got the 13.2".

edit: and you're right, the mount is completely different in those vehicles for the 12". they are inset in the dash, and have trim all around. they don't sit on top like the Escape and Maverick 13.2".

I would not try to adapt a 12".

The only way would be to print parts on a 3D printer. But it will be very difficult to make the design...

A guy on facebook actually demo'd his 3d printed screen housing that centered the screen.
This might end up becoming a base for a 10 or 12" screen if he releases the cad files.

Great idea! Would you be so kind as to ask for the CAD files?
The truth is that the 12" screen is much cheaper!
