Sync4 APIM and 13.2" Screen Installation Guide (Lariat Models)

As the Sync4 enables wireless carplay... if I get the 12" kit for my '22 Lariat, I would bypass the need to use the USB ports for carplay?
My truck just went out of warranty and was waiting for the warranty to go so I could do the big screen swap... and my USB ports for carplay died yesterday (checked fuses, did the master reset, with no luck).
Going to probably order tomorrow.

One other update...we also launched the lariat kits and harness for those with a lariat wanting to do the sync 4 upgrades. We got our first complete kit shipped today with several more going next week as we get the last of the parts needed.

I have the 2022 Lariat, how do I determine if I have the 'Lux' package? I am thinking I should do this in phases to keep the initial costs under the radar of the wife.

The large info is controlled by the Apim so the 12”-13.2 will need a different Apim than the 8”

Yes you won’t have to plug it in to use CarPlay anymore.

The warranty isn’t impacted by this swap unless it’s a part directly related to the swap. For example if your seat motor stops working they’ll still fix it, if your audio stops working they won’t since you’ve replaced the original parts.

You have Lux if you have factory navigation without CarPlay plugged in.

Hi, I am looking for the new Maverick screen 2025 to start this conversion (I already did conversion to sync 4 with the original 8" screen).
I don't like the Escape screen.
I know that there are already some crashed/totaled Mavericks, but I couldn't find any sellers on eBay.
I am overseas.
Any data will help.

If you have Sirius Radio and Adaptive Cruise with Lane Centering, you have the Lariat Lux.

Only the 2022 Lariat Lux has Sync 3, with Sirius XM.

All other models Lariat, XLT, and XL have the Ford connect 2.5 radio.

Ordered my kit yesterday. Going to also add a USB-C charger in the upper tray to reduce the cables going up/down since it will be Wireless Carplay.

Finally got around to attempting to program my install yesterday. 21' F150 apim and 23 lariat Maverick ACM into my 23 XLT. So I copied over Bobert47's built from back on page 19. I was fighting getting my GPS to work correctly. This resolved that issue with it jumping around madly. So now I am only down to two problems. Both my usb ports no longer function (saw they are controlled from the ACM(will have to investigate that)) and secondly my volume knob works, but the screen pop up never changes from 0. All the other buttons work and display the information as they are supposed to. Seeing if someone had some directional guidance. Thank you
