Unintentionally, Ford has released Recalls that fix a certain problem but then cause other (new) issues. It seems now the Powerflow screen on Lariat Hybrid Mavericks is now blank for several owners after they got recalls done. Here is a post recently from a f150 powerboost(hybrid) owner who also lost the screen after ford updates/recalls too.

Seems that any Ford Hybrid Owners that have SYNC3.4 are experiencing this blank powerflow screen after getting recalls done.

Ford needs to figure out their software updates and thoroughly test them before releasing them. This is not the first time they have caused new issues from pushing out recall fixes too fast. Do better Ford and fix this problem for the hybrid owners for all your Ford Models. @Ford Motor Company

I'm just joking, sort of. But as a software engineer, we had a saying that the best feature was the one you deleted because nobody ever used it.

right I see where you're coming from! I mean I don't even own a hybrid lariat . I have an XL ecoboost. I just think it's ridiculous ford pushes out recalls and updates that cause new issues. It honestly makes me cautious to get any recalls done.

The faulty updates issue is totally out of hand. At what point does the NHTSA clamp down and force Ford to stop incompetent devs from releasing poorly-tested defects? They don't seem to understand that this is mission-critical software that kills people when it fails. Its time for Ford to bite the bullet and change out the entire software team and get some people who actually know how to write and test code. Why are they not doing that right now?

Just went out and checked mine. I pushed the button to "turn it on", chose the power flow screen, and it showed the picture and said "Truck Idling". I'll check it again when I drive it.
Thanks for the tip.

From what I can tell all the recalls have had little to do with the possibility of killing someone, the turn signal indicator light malfunction thing might get you into some issues... I don't see how this screen or anything else is a public danger.

Really? For example, the fix for the 24S27 taillight current monitoring issue was defective, causing 24S33 shifting to park at highway speeds. How is that not extremely dangerous? The software screwups are beyond belief.

Can you confirm that your power flow screen works still or is it blank like the picture I posted?

I have a ā€˜23 hybrid Lariat and I’ve had no problems after having the recall done. The little truck on the screen works just like it always did. I’d take the Maverick back to the dealer who did the recall and complain about it. It probably wasn’t done right.

Thanks for confirming that you still have this screen and it is working.
