Yep, pretty much exact same scenario except I was in my driveway getting ready for work when it happened. It happened only once, never caused any issue that I'm aware of and never registered on the Ford Pass app.
Yep, unfortunately this is the latest added to my list of various issues (some minor, some not) that I've experienced with my Maverick since purchased in Dec. 2021.
The scenario:
At about 4K miles, I got in my truck to go to work one morning (happened to be my birthday), turned the key and it...
I disagree with your belief of what the "norm" is in this situation, but rest assured that I'm not simply drawing conclusions from this one message board. I'm using my own personal experiences with my truck combined with all of the other testimonies (both good and bad) that others have shared...
Judging from the numerous, documented known issues of the brand new 2022 Mavericks, ranging from very minor to major, I think that, sadly, it is basically just "a crap shot" or "luck of the draw" as to whether or not your vehicle produced will have any issues or not, and if so, to what degree of...
Yes, I'm aware and hopefully it will resolve mine as well. They said that they did upgrade it since I brought it in and it's working fine, so I hope it stays that way.
I see how you could've misinterpreted my description regarding the rain water getting into the rear of the cab, due to my wording at the end. Let me be crystal clear... this was not some water dripping, this was a decent sized stream of water (this happened twice after a significant rain)...
Actually, yes they did say both were damaged. Yes, I've actually changed the door handle on my 2011 Sorento EX before so I'm sure that I could ..."handle" it. 😄
I think you're probably spot on about the part being the same. After all, that's one thing that allowed Ford to lower the overall cost of the Maverick... they used parts from the Bronco Sport and the Focus.
Thanks for the find pxpaulx! If I decide to keep it, I'd definitely rather pay $175...
That makes sense, to an extent, about what gets displayed on the touchscreen according to what is being broadcasted to it at the time, but that verbiage in the pic that reads, "ADIANA'S" should have read "ACADIANA'S"... and guess what, it did change to read correctly shortly after that pic was...
Actually, I've searched this forum pretty frequently and the net for the same water problem (leaking rain onto my front floor mats) and I haven't been able to find it. Now, I have seen plenty that have the same truck cab body molding not being sealed correctly all the way around.
And yes, I...
So after a few trips to the dealership for Touchscreen and weather seals/molding issues, the dealer provided a loaner truck for me while they investigate and hopefully resolve these issues.
Problems/Issues Experienced since purchased in December 2021:
12-22-21 After a significant amount of...
It's truly sad that you think that way. It shouldn't matter if the truck is sub 20K, 50K, or even 2K! If a brand new truck includes a radio/touch screen it should be 100% fully functional as designed. PERIOD
I seriously doubt it. Computers and electronics don't require a "break-in" period. After all... They literally run on "Ones and Zeros". They are either on or off. This break-in period, which I'm following b.t.w. is for the engine and transmission and other mechanical components.
