Now we have March's sales number, but no production number.

In industries I've worked, one important rule of communication is that you don't say anything if you don't have good thing to say. Thus my read of the unspoken reality is that the latest production numbers are bad because of chip constraints.

That being said, I believe Ford would have to roll over a significant number of 2022 customer orders to 2023. To avoid upset customers too much, most people anticipate Ford will provide some kind of price protection for the rolled over orders.

Now, if your Ford, what are you going to do with the 2023 Model? Are you going to make substantial changes (upgrades)? You may lose your profit because the fore-mentioned price protection. You may also lose some production time because of re-tooling. In the meantime, customers are lined up to buy anything you make. Why bother?

Thus, my prediction of 2023 Model features are that there will be minimal change from 2022 Model, except bug fixing and a couple new paint colors

It's very rare for any OEM to make significant changes to the second model year of a brand new model.

So, no, don't expect any changes beyond software updates, or issues involving constrained parts.

That makes sense. Best to concentrate on production and bug fixes when you have customers lined up to buy whatever you are selling.

There is far too much speculation on this site already. Trying to figure out Ford is next to impossible. Guessing at how/when/why is pretty pointless.

Bronco diff, trans upgrades, and Ford performance parts.

Oh and V8, a carb, long travel suspension, 2 door, and manual trans.

2nd year of Bronco Sport actually had some downgrades. The Big Bend lost some features as did the Outer Banks.

One gain was HomeLink.

The price protection is usually extended to the starting MRSP of each trim. The new options or upgrades would likely then be added on if desired. The Bronco Wildtrak gets optioned with a new suspension halfway through 22. The new capable bumper option was an extra upgrade.

I'm thinking a couple of color changes for MY23
. I'm hoping for a standalone cruise control option for the XL too.

I hope you are wrong on that price protection. I don't care if my truck is a 22 or 23. I would like the whole truck to be price protected. I ordered on Dec 26th one day before the price went up on some packages. I have a few constrained items on my build. Hope ford just don't jack up the price on those so high that puts it out of reach for me.

I'm guessing some minor downgrades. If I remember correctly the 2020 Ford Ranger had 4 bed tie downs. The 2019 had 6. I believe there were a couple other downgrades to the 2020 Ranger.
