Sold my XLT to Carvana

I ordered a 2024 Lariat in mid July. Sold my 2023 XLT yesterday to Carvana for almost $5000 over what I paid. The sale was by far the easiest I’ve ever done. Took less than 15 minutes. I opted to deliver to them (saved $90). Funds were in my account in about 12 hours. Now back to the long wait for my Lariat.

You sold a EB for 5k over what you paid for it?

KBB currently lists my EB for about 4K over what I will pay for it on average trade in. I think it is region specific.

That's why KBB wants your location/zip code. Take KBB screen shot in when you go in. I sent my screen shot before going in to my sales rep that used it when talking to "THE GUY IN REAR". after showing original offer.

After subtracting taxes and Insurance that I had paid, it was right at $4600.

Did that 5K over what you paid take into consideration sales tax, TTL and any loan costs/int paid?

No. Taxes here are $500 flat fee on new vehicles. Tag and title was under $50. Not sure how much insurance will be for the 7 weeks I had it. State Farm will calculate and send a refund. I didn’t finance.

Carvana is still offering $4k over MSRP for my ‘22 XLT hybrid that has nearly 16,000 miles.

Offer for my Tremor with 2,100 miles is $33,800 - which is about $2k more than I paid for my Tremor (no tax since I traded in and was paid money).

It is nice to see, not nice enough to see and get rid of my Tremor.

Wait a couple of weeks and check again. Their offers are up, down and all around. Makes no sense at all

Carfax is currently showing my trade-in value as what I paid, including ttl and accessories. Haven't checked Carvana but it wouldn't be a bad deal to trade in at breakeven after driving for 14 months. I don't have interest in a different vehicle right now, though.

Seems all buyer pricing is regionally specific. I’ve wondered if a seller could find a better priced region and deliver? Or if Carvana (et al) only buys in their specific region.

Just checked mine (MA). MSRP was $31,090 before taxes and fees. With 9.4K miles, Carvana was $26,973 and KBB was $29,070. Just something about this region, I guess. Now I have to deal with the dealers KBB gave my info.
