Not a truck but mpg looks impressive on the new KIA Nero, 53mpg combined according to their website. I started looking at them because I was getting tired of waiting, got the email yesterday on my Oct 2021 order.

There are some at dealer lots here in metro Detroit area(well on ford.com at least)

Used 2015+ Colorados can be had for somewhat reasonable prices again, if you are okay with white fleet turnovers and a bed with scratches/dents/spray paint

Best of luck to you and hope you get scheduled soon.
Thank you. I am happy for all those new orders that are getting scheduled but am also super bitter that others who have waited over a year are getting passed over. Even if I get scheduled next week, I won't probably get built now until mid March with delivery coming hopefully in April. That's 18-19 months while people who just ordered in September already have theirs. That's max BS.

Not bad looking and I love the mpg. I'll check it out more. Congrats on getting scheduled!

I actually like the fleet look. I have noticed prices coming down too.

I have a hybrid being built that I no longer need (bought a Santa Cruz).
How are you liking your Santa Cruz? What package? True MPG? I drove one the other day...you know...just in case. Interior definitely seemed like a step up.

Thanks for checking. I've been looking too. Problem is I live in the U.P. All of the ones that normally come available are 8+ hours away. Not interested in trying to drive one back during the winter around here. Plus, we just totaled our new car hitting a deer. That would be our luck again!!
Sorry to hear that. I also went deer hunting a couple years ago in an suv. Guess it’s better to buy a license and use a gun according to the cop who came out.

Best of luck my friend.

Well if you want truck then you have the Santa Cruz or the bigger Toyota Tacoma or Chevy Colorado. If a SUV is okay then maybe a Chevy Trailblazer (23 to 30 K) or Toyota Corolla Cross (24 to 30 K) The Cross is supposed to have a hybrid for 2023 BUT they still have no word on it so more likely 2024 for hybrid. Subura are near impossible to find so forget them. Not sure what your price range is. As bigger SUV are in the 31k plus range.

Oct. 2021 order.
Another round of emails...another round of Sept. '22 new orders getting scheduled. I'm out.
Not sure what I'm going to get. Any recommendations?
October '21 order here. Getting built next week. I stopped in to see my dealer every week or two (dealership is close to work) and listened to the Ford Video Guy and took his recommendations. Looking forward to getting it. Good Luck- Keep at it!

My car is doing great or I'd do that drive without thinking twice. I've heard the Maverick is great in the snow. You're really due for some good luck.

SEL FWD activity package in sage gray. Much better build quality than a Maverick. Most of the options I needed/wanted. Nice comfy, truly quiet interior with better seats. Haven’t hit 1000 miles yet but mpg around town 22ish, highway 28-29ish. I’m no longer driving long distance and miles per year went from 15,000+ to 5000 or less, so really be need of a hybrid.

They probably saw them on the dealer website. I have seen that is usually the case and the customer orders are shown… I call it “baiting” the customers.
Yeah. We have dealers in Arizona advertising at msrp, and in microscopic print hidden elsewhere in the add, it says call for the real price.

I ordered September 2022, so I plan to wait longer. My back up plan is a base model Frontier. It is well equipped compared to the Maverick and has a proven drivetrain. I'm not happy about the MPG. It might be interesting if Toyota comes out with a small pickup in 2024.

If I don't get a 2023 Maverick, I wonder how much more the 2024 model will cost.

Bye?

I struggle to find a better word to describe these self aggrandizing it's my world, Ford better fix it threads other than pathetic.

You placed an order for a vehicle, that has not come yet.

Ford didn't screw you. The dealership didn't screw you. Your life is not irreparably harmed as a result.

Dozens of other manufacturers make hundreds of other models and there are tens of thousands of vehicles for sale in the United States.

Vehicles get you from point A to point B. Some better than others. It's crazy to me how many folks let this affect their lives so greatly.
