I have read and saw several comments about the uncomfortable seats. Are the seats in the Lariat better (more comfortable) than the XLT? We take long trips and average 10-11 hours so the seat needs to be comfortable

I'm 5'-7" and find my XLT very comfortable. Maybe the seats would be not ideal for taller people?

Hadn't heard about negative reviews regarding the seats. My Wife loves her comfortable, heated seats in her XLT AWD. She's the only person I know with a Maverick so that's her ass and back's impression:)

I'm fairly tall, over 6' and I spent a couple of days in a Maverick. I will say that if you're taller, the seat bottom is pretty short so your upper legs hang off and the seat bottom doesn't give the greatest leg support. I was pretty disappointed by that but I won't be using the Maverick for long trips so it doesn't matter to me. That being said, the seat does adjust back far enough for adequate leg room and the steering wheel telescopes far enough out, it's just the seat bottom that is too short.

Thanks, I am only 5'9 so that shouldn't be an issue for me. More concerned about the cushioning

Lariat seats are very comfortable. Driven 5,500 miles in them now. Love the Active X seat material. Way better than I was expecting. I believe it's going to really hold up over time.

My only seat complaint is adjustability of the bottom cushion. You can adjust it only up and down. Wished it would tip down in the front. Bothered me the first week or two, but I've gotten used to it.

There are too many “Negative Nancy” type of people spreading rumors about the truck, and yet, they don’t even have one themselves.

I have an XL and the seats are extremely comfortable. I picked up my hybrid XL in Gastonia, NC and drove it home 546 miles. I’m 62 with dessicated and herniated discs in my lumbar and cervical spine. I had no problems with comfort in the Maverick at all.

Don’t listen to Negative Nancy.

I am a big dude - no issues with seat comfort whatsoever. Drove from Minneapolis to Toronto and back in November, zero issues with comfort. Owned/Driven MANY cars from eco to luxury and have no complaints.

I agree. I blew out my L5 and L3,L1 are bulging yet a road trip in the Maverick doesn't leave me in pain. Compare that to my wife's CH-R which leaves me needing to lay down on the side of the road to stretch out after a few hours. I think this has more to do with seating position than the cushioning but take it FWIW

Interesting. I've had my XL since mid November and have found the seats very comfortable with fairly extensive height/lower and forward/back adjustments.

I too do wish it had the angle of the bottom seat but after a while I don't miss it I guess. Just went 1200 miles and 200 thru a snow storm and love the seats. They are one reason I went Lariat, I need great seats. That and I am beginning to love the ACC although it does have drawbacks.

I just picked up my xl last Saturday. Haven’t been on a long trip yet but the seats seem very comfortable so far to me. I guess if your used to luxury cars you might think they could be better but I have no complaints so far.
