Thoughts on the xlt seats vs lariat leather ones. Are the xlt seats good and comfortable?

The whole reason we bought a loaded XLT instead of a loaded Lariat was because of the seats. I’d do it again too.

I hate those fake leather seats in the Lariat. I love my XLT’s cloth seats.

I don’t sweat or stick to the cloth seats at all and I enjoy the heated feature when the weather gets cold. Love the heated steering wheel when it gets cold too.

Love my heated XLT LUX seats. I choose our Maverick over our Volvo XC40 every time, and Volvo is famous for their seats. Never been a fan of anything but cloth seats.

The only reason I ended up with an XLT is because I absolutely did not want Ford's ActiveX or real leather for that matter.
It gets too damn hot here for anything other than fabric unless it's ventilated.

Ford Maverick XLT seats vs Lariat leather seats? IMG_20260725_134542

Ford’s ActiveX is Not Leather. Never has been, never will be.
It is a synthetic leatherette seating material made without any animal products, often utilizing recycled plastic polymers I.e. plastic bottles.

Ford Maverick cloth seats are made from durable automotive-grade synthetic woven textile fibers, primarily high-strength polyester or nylon blends designed to resist daily wear, fading, and stretching.

You may be okay temperature-wise with the Lariat seats in WA, but the seat surfaces are the main reason I never shopped for a Lariat here. Even the fake leather material on my XLT steering wheel and center console feels icky IMHO.

I have not had any issues with the durability or stain resistance of the fabric seats.

The seats are the same, just different covers. The XLT Lux and Lariat have the same 8 way power seat, which has more adjustments than the manual version on the XL and XLT sans Lux package.

I’ll take the breathable cloth over plastic seat covers any day of the week.

Unless it's the vented leather seats I don't think I'll ever go out of my way to get them on any car. The only outlier I've experienced was on a 2018 Jeep Cherokee with whatever Jeep's highest trim package is. It was probably the most comfortable car I've ever driven.

The "leather" seats on my wife's Maverick Lariat do not compare to the real leather seats in my F150 Lariat. I do not really like them and they always look like something is wet on them in the Maverick which is kinda frustrating with my OCD lol. Not sure if there is some type of product that could be applied to avoid this issue of mine.

let's be honest the Mav's seats are not the most comfortable.
Maybe to some. I find the basic 6-way manual seats to be amongst the most comfortable in a mainstream late-model vehicle. Only thing it's missing for me to make it 100% ideal is the same 12-way power adjustment in 5th-gen Explorers.

I initially thought I needed to get a Maverick with the power seat, but after having driven a Maverick press car for a thousand miles in a week with the manual seat, I found it more than suitable. The Maverick's 8-way power seat option doesn't have seat bottom tilt, so the main benefit over the manual seat is to make minute adjustments.
