I liked that you had more choices. I didn’t want to pay for the remote start on the key fob. I use my phone or watch. That said I only use it when it’s in the 90s or above for AC.
There are times when the key fob option would be handy. From phone out to truck start can take up to a minute. Key fob is a little more instant.

True. It wasn’t even that expensive to add. In my case I have a 5-10 minute walk to the truck where I work. Instantaneous is not that big a deal. Nice and cool when I get there though. The thing I love is even if I don’t have the AC on in the morning when I go to work, which is common here where I live, the truck will still be cooled off when I get there.

I was a little freaked over the restraints at the time you and I ordered as well. That was one reason I didn’t go for the Radar Cruise Control. I was even concerned that remote start key fobs could hold orders up.

Thanks that's what I was wondering. What an odd choice to leave that stuff out of the Lariat initially. I would have just gone XLT if that was the case.
I have a '22 Lariat without 360 or lux packages. Honestly, the biggest factor for me was I didn't want cloth seats and I really didn't want to be buying seat covers for both front seats _AND_ the rear seat with a kid in a booster that I knew was going to desecrate any cloth interior she could find.

I forget what all was with the Lariat build by default. But I do know i wanted the SIBL and it was included in the '22 Lariat build which was going to be an option added for mine when I was thinking of going XLT. I do know that I liked the push button start, I got the 110w outlet in the console (can't remember if that was Lariat or an add-on), the weathertech(?) floor mats, the SIBL, and the tow hitch. Which, again, can't remember if that was with Lariat or an add-on. I think the hitch was the add-on for $100.

Since having the Lariat, I am glad to have a few things. The push button start is great once you get used to not reaching for your keys. Which helps that the proximity sensor unlocks the vehicle just by touching one of the two front door handles while having the keys on you. So, no pressing a keyfob, no using keys, etc. This has come in handy a lot. I do like the sliding power rear window because my daughter loves to have fresh air even while I'm using the AC up front. Not sure about the better windshield as I already cracked one and my insurance bought me a new one. And though I was iffy on the floor mats, I'm glad I've gotten them. I also think the Lariat is the only one with the power driver seat standard. Which is a plus.

As for the lux package add-ons? None really wowed me for the price. Heated seats, steering wheel, etc? My house heat is set to 60 in the winter. I wear shorts in the winter. I think 72 is hot. I think people in south Texas in July are nuts. I don't want anything in my car heated other than the defroster. And many times due to how insulated the Maverick is, will drive it in the winter without the heat on at all because my own bodyheat alone is enough.

Sound system? I listen to podcasts mostly while driving or talk on hands free phone to friends or businesses I work with. I don't need elaborate speaker system.

I think the Lux has power passenger seat, too, right? And has the wireless charging? Don't need either. I rarely have a passenger in the front seat. It's usually up all the way to give my daughter room to kick her feet without hitting the back of the seat when she was younger. Not having any climate control in the rear of the truck is potentially a nuisance, but without a passenger, I just set the passenger side to her temp and aim it along the doors to get back to her and it's more than enough.

In the end, the Lariat was just enough of what I wanted over the XLT that I went ahead and got it. But the Lux package in either trim was never worth it to me. And the 360 feels like it's meant for people who can't drive. lane assist, adaptive cruise, etc. Pay attention. Those features just allow you to pay even less attention to the road since you rely on them to tell you when you're not driving safely.

In Texas the mpg loving drivers use steering and seat heaters to heat down to about 33°F +/- where cabin heat is turned on!
This makes no sense it takes far more power to run the seats and wheel (alternator draw) Than it does to run the fan and coolant is heated free.

Turns out the '23 Lariat model, which doesn't have heated seats, actually has the elements for the heated seats for just the driver...they just cut the wiring...and with the way they cut it on my vehicle, it was jutting out just enough on my rear end that it was noticeable and uncomfortable.

I found this all out as I was installing my own heated pads from AliExpress.

Finally my seats are comfortable...and will be heated as soon as I finish off the wiring.

So,my 30k XLT with lux pkg came with heated seats and you can't get them on a more expensive lariat?

22 & 23 you could get a Lariat without lux package. the main value of doing so was the activex / synthetic leather seats and the 6.5" driver's instrument cluster. and it did not include the heated seats or steering wheel.

How does a Lariat not have heated seats? Is it a Canadian thing? I would have thought they would be standard further north???
I have a 23 Lariat and mine has heated seats and mirrors. I would pass on the mirrors as I can’t wrap my around the idea.
I been driving (with a license) since 1968 and never really had problems with icy mirrors

What ….all 2023 Ford Maverick lariat models have heated seats. There’s a button on the dash near the climate control. What are you talking about? Are you from Canada a us territory Europe, or somewhere else? Standard on lariat.

no.

in model years 2022 and 2023, in the united states, you could order a regular lariat. you got push button start, intelligent access (touch to lock/unlock front door), dual zone climate, 6.5" screen, vinyl seats, power sliding rear window, ambient lighting (handles and footwells).

in MY22 lariat lux added B&O audio with sync3, heated seats and wheel, adaptive cruise.

in MY23 adaptive cruise was not automatically part of lariat lux, you had to option 'copilot 360 assist' to get it. this was the stupidest thing Ford did to the Maverick, until the MY25 redesign was leaked today.

Agreed. I ordered 23 with every option, even front wrap, sunroof, hardcover, etc., etc.. That's what l ordered, only to find out my dealer forgot the 360 assist due to that confusion. So pissed, but waited a year and at list. Took it but still upset about it. Love the vehicle and it's been perfect but wish l had it.
