On a more serious note, really sorry to read what the OP and others have gone through getting hosed by bad dealers. Pisses me off to read these stories.

This is why I would rather go to the dentist and have crowns installed than go car shopping at a dealership. Never had a root canal but I would probably rather do that too instead of car shopping.

ah root canals arent that terrible - just time consuming and pricey :} and i wish they wouldn't llay out their arsenal of tools in front of you cuz then u know that each and every one of those is intended fully for you.

Forgot to mention that I did have a dental implant 10-12 years ago…. That was a lot of fun a multi-visit process that is indeed probably worse than car shopping.

Fleecing privates and specialists is big cash. You should have seen Fort Hood in the late 2000s - You couldn't leave the post without driving past 5 or 6 payday loan offices.

A 7500 or 10000 markup is so ridiculous. The base appeal of this truck is its low price. If you are going to pay 40+ why not buy a Ranger or Tacoma. This Maverick is really starting to rub me the wrong way.

In fairness, @Ford Motor Company has been very active dealing with technical issues.

Dealerships are independent and not Ford Owned. If Ford tried to interfere with the dealership Ford can be sued. The only power Ford has is in future stock allocation numbers and Ford warned dealerships that allocations can and will be reduced for dealerships that do these types of things that give the Ford brand a black eye.

Why don't you direct your bile to where the issue really lies: your State elected officials because it is them who are protecting these scumbag dealerships.

As some one that lives in the Central Arkansas area, you cannot turn a corner without running into a Crain dealership. That being said, I buy new vehicles all the time, 5 new trucks in the last 2.5 years, I have not and will not step foot on a Crain dealership, they are crooks, its well known. If you're looking for a Ford dealer in central Arkansas that actually keeps its promises and takes care of its customers go to Smith Ford in Conway, Normally I buy out of state because you can find some good deals if you're willing to travel. But I did just buy my 4th vehicle from Smith Ford.

If this happens to me I'll walk and never buy a Ford product the rest of my life.

I have also never purchased a Ford before. Manufacturers need to get there dealers dialed in or there plan to go customer order model is toast.
